Somethings changed. And sorry to say it but Wilder has changed. He’s turned us into the type of boring PL side he used to take the piss out of. And we’re fucking rubbish at it.

If we’re going down, which we are, let’s at least make it entertaining shall we? This is just pathetic to watch.

If he doesn’t change there’s only one record we’re breaking this season and that’s Derby’s lowest ever PL points total.

"We've been worked out" is perhaps too simple, but we have.

Last year we played a unique and unfamiliar system which allowed us to collectively play like a top 10 side. A system which made the team much greater than the sum of its parts. Wilder created a perfect storm over the last few years, but thats come to a head.

Perhaps subtlety, but team know how to tone down our threat. With the CBs not careering forward the whole system collapses. WBs don't have the overload, which restricts crossing opportunities and also massively slows down our play. This in turn gives the midfielders less time, space and options on the ball. Then the forwards are then crowded out and have less space to make the runs into. We then turn the ball over more often.

I think this, mixed with some bad luck has resulted in a dreadful opening to the season and then confidence has fallen through the floor.

The issue, for me, is we dont have the players to just change it up. With the exception of Berge and JOC (& maybe Egan), none of our players will stay in the Premier League next year. Not one of the rest of the squad would attract interest.

There's an argument to say Dean Henderson was our best player last season, and we 'replaced' him with a player many insisted was a proven Premier League Goalkeeper (despite the fact he was relegated in his first season as Number One. And is going to be relegated in his second).

He and O'Connell are massive misses, but the messes we've made in several transfer windows now mean we're just not capable to being competitive at this level any more.

The midfield is CLUELESS! Same week after week after week. They just don't press and push on. So many times today I've seen the midfield pass it backwards while West Ham regrouped. West Ham only did this a few times and players like that Bowen pressed and asked questions of us. The first half was mediocre at best, I just think we were happy not to concede. I am really sick of these long balls that go nowhere 95% of the time too, said that previous weeks also.

With players like Fleck, Berge and Norwood I would assume that's a good midfield, however it doesn't seem to be the case.

Brewster... where is he?
He's probably had about 10 touches of the ball since he signed. Good through ball today to McBurnie who nearly scored. But on my overall satisfaction of Brewster is probably around 48% as he hasn't really done anything... having said that he's not had the best service from midfield (as above) so I don't really have much to say on the lad.

Max Lowe another mixed performance.
Made some silly errors today... a lot of the time I think he must have been playing CB as he was absent from the wing sometimes. Did one good cross however, but as has happened in previous matches... No one on the back post.

Think we should be called "Sheffield McGoldrick" as he seems to carry the weight of the team and somehow gets these bad passes/crosses under control to a degree. The only player for me who looked like he wanted to influence things today... once again as per usual.

I'm just saying the same things so far this season. Think I'll just stop and hope for a win soon, don't even care if we win from an own goal.

However I don't subscribe to the idea of sacking Wilder (most ACTUAL United fans I've talked too agree). It will just create more problems and instability and possible rift between players and fans, as it would be just as much their fault than Wilder's. Unfortunately losing IS a part of football, come on it's not like we are setting our sights on the title or Champions League and have to string wins together all the time or face punishment. Don't really think another manager could come in and do a "Chris Wilder" at this moment in time.

I genuinely think the way they shit the bed so early, and comprehensively, against Wolves has continued to affect them. Any aura of fearlessness was gone, right then and there.

So how long do we have to take the last few years into account.? It is about now and trying to stay in this league. They seems to an acceptance by some on her that if we go down and Wilder will bring us back up.

Now we’re too cautious and constantly play the safe ball, preferring to go backwards rather than forwards. No movement to support the man on the ball with determined forward runs, this is why O’Connell is such an obvious loss.
Some may disagree but Berge for me is the epitome of this slow languid style, he passes and then stands still or jogs. He never passes and sprints ten yards demands the ball back and plays some one else in before getting forward to support the attack. McBurnie is the same, far too immobile, lacking in necessary aggression and passion.
Last season, every player was fearless, played with freedom and an attacking intent, pressing the sides who were cautious and hesitant into mistakes that we punished. Now I’m afraid we are one of those teams and are absolutely awful to watch.
Leeds are playing with a similar gung ho enthusiasm that we employed last term, they won’t win the league but they’ll not get relegated and I know what style is better to watch

At least we can enjoy the rest of the season stress free. We know we're down mid November. Look at poor old Watford, played some great football, only to get sucked down on the last day of the season ( wasn't going to mention the "ghost goal' -however). The Berge signing has proved a pivotal changing point but not as intended.
