Don't say that Bob please tell me Ricky is still with us. Our families lived in the same yard when we wer kids. Not seen him for ages but he's a great lad
Yes pal Ricky's still with us, but we had a big fall out about 6 years ago and have not spoken since. Tommy Harrison (Drums) died about 7-8 years ago and Brian Wayland (Guitar) about 5 years ago. Alan Windle our manager died about 3 months ago. I've just found out Jimmy's friend who lives in Spain has organised a gig for Jim's wake, Ricky's band are playing there and so are a lot of Jim's muso friends, so It looks like Chicken and me will have to bury the hatchet.

Yes pal Spindle was from Jordo, I don't hold any grudges against Chicken, as you say life's too short.

It'll be a right party! Saw Charlie at the hospice yesterday, he said he knew you. I'll keep you posted on when the funeral is mate, it'll be at Hutcliffe Wood and then having the bash at Picture House, all things being well.

It's going to be one hell of a party! Proper fitting send off for him

Thanks keep me posted I will have a word with Charlie if I see him he lives just opposite me thanks.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words and sentiment ⚔️

The funeral is going to be at 15:30 on February 3rd at Hutcliffe Wood, anyone who knew Jimmy is welcome to come.

The wake will be afterwards at Picture House Social, formerly the KGB, one of Jimmy's old haunts. Again, anyone welcome ⚔️

RIP Jimmy from me and my Father. Didn't realise it was the Jimmy Ludlam who went to school with my dad until he informed me about his death. I also went to school with his son Josh.

Small world in the Blades community isn't it!

I knew Jimmy knew a lot of people but it's been surprising seeing just how many there actually are.

You and your dad both welcome at the funeral and/or the wake mate, Josh will be there too of course.

Jimmy's picture and a message will be up on the screen at the match on Saturday, and in the programme too. The club have been really good and helpful with everything

Thankyou pal I think my dad's going so I probably will. Take care Ludlam family.

Didn't see Jimmy's picture on screen pal?
Yeah we've no idea why, they put him in the programme as they said they would but he was the only one not up on the screen. We were all waiting for it with cameras ready!

Going to message the club tomorrow and thank them for sorting the programme out, and see if we can find out why he didn't make it on the screen

Wondered whether it was because it was a pretty close and tense 2nd half?

Been a few crossed wires with Picture House Social...so the wake will now be at The White Lion on Chesterfield Rd.

Funeral still at Hutcliffe Wood.

3rd Feb.

All still welcome at either or both ⚔️
