A weird list of nominations. It doesn't include anybody who has been on loan, loaned out, sold or bought halfway through the season. So Nosworthy isn't in the top 10 players despite making 4th most appearances. Neither are Bartley, Reid, Riise and Lowry despite being arguably amongst the 10 best players.

The nomination of Williamson is a bit of a joke really. 11 appearances, no goals, no assists, 2 red cards! He hasn't even made more appearances than Doyle, Ward or Jordan who are all under contract and arguably just as eligible.

I won't be voting until nearer the 23rd April deadline as I don't agree with picking the player of the season until the season's over personally. At the moment, my choice is between Quinn for recent performances and Evans for his goals. Whoever finishes the season stronger will get my vote.

How can it be the "Fan's player of the season", when you're possibly not allowed to choose your favourite player? I think all this talk of Ryan France has caused them to carefully select players who cannot be used as a protest vote. Anybody remember if the list was so selective in previous seasons?

why dont we still send the email to them but just put ryan france in it, if everyone on here did it and we get people we know to do it, he might get the vote!!!

The club have clearly done the shortlist like this so all other votes will be null and void.

Go for it! It justifies the clubs reasoning for making their own shortlist. You can have your own little silent protest

For what its worth, my shortlist to date is (in no particular order):

Bartley
Reid
Quinn
Monty
Ched
Lowton

But like Sothall, I won't be deciding my player of the season until the end of the season.

I can't believe any of you are even going to vote! A total abstination would surely send a stronger message of our overall dissatisfaction this season.

If you reallly want to have a protest vote then Williamson is the obvious "Monster Raving Looney" candidate. The club have nominated him for some strange reason, so they can hardly ignore any votes for him. Personally I think that's disrespectful and unfair on the likes of Quinn, Evans, Monty, Bogdanovic etc who've at least contributed, put the effort in and managed to stay on the pitch!

Precisely. They may have been shite for most of the season, but they have put the effort in and unlike some players, these few have cared about the team.

It looks like the club have just shortlisted the 10 players who started the season as contracted players and are still at the club now.

The very fact that Richard Cresswell has made it to the shortlist should serve as yet another reminder of the contempt in which those in power treat "true blades". I won't be voting and frankly given our performance over the the course of the season I don't think any of them deserve the "accolade". If you were going for player of the last month of the season we may yet have a worthy candidate.

Well, I've voted for Quinn. At least he's put the effort in and has been consistently our best, most creative player over the last couple of months.
Anybody else voted yet? If so, who for?

Quinn for me as well - At least he appears to care and has put some in some good performances in the later part of the season - I think Riise being there has had an influence on his free kicks and corners, which, dare I say it, appear to have improved recently.

Other than that I would have voted for Nos - cos it sums up the season for me. It's been a complete Nyron
