It's Leyton fucking Orient, I should hope we fancy us to win. .

how the f+++ are Orient there
leading scorers in all football
utter shit arent they but just above wolves tonight
again we were pushed by Weir to the brink of our lowest point in our history with 8 straight defeats, did you expect us to win 5-0 every game from the minute a new man came in , try a bit of fucking realism
and what about orient , they are a pro club , theyll have a good run now and again , wigan had 8 seasons in the prem , yeovils won 3-0 at watford today , shows how fickle football is
we have to earn the right to win , we arent better because we have more fans
I don't expect us to win 5-0 every game, but if it isn't "realistic" to expect Sheffield United to beat Leyton Orient then that is a very sad state of affairs.
Whilst form gives a rough idea of who might beat who, it is the past so bears no relevance to the next result. I don't think I lack realism in expecting us to win our next game. I expect it because it should happen.
My first season in football Orient finished higher in div 2than liverpool, perhaps their fans are wondering how little Liverpool are doing so well
I expect us to win every next game , but tinged with the realism we wont , tell me , Ive been watching us for fifty years and I dont expect us to trample over any club , how come you do, to go into any game thinking ,way they are only a small club , we should shit on them , is nt that begging for a fall , its the wednesday way , we are massive , leads only to utter disappointment , ask any owls fan just now

It disappoints me that any time somebody dares to mention the fact that we are a very big club at this level, and let's get this straight, we are, the best retort somebody can come back with is to liken them to a pig fan. Very mature.
My point is that a club such as ours, with the resources at its disposal, should be capable of beating the likes of Leyton Orient and for a good few fans to be seemingly delighted with a draw is a sad state of affairs. If you are happy that we just scraped a draw at a side that gets six and a half thousand fans turning up and whose resources pale in comparison to ours then good on you, but I'm not which, of course, is my prerogative.
I do want and expect more and I believe it will come. I don't see that as a problem, quite the opposite. To not expect more would be to lack ambition. I just hope the players didn't go into the game with the attitude that a draw would be a great result or we shall languish some more.
Hmmm... You're right that we shouldn't be where we are, but that's history now. We are a poor side, and we need to fight to stay up. If we can't enjoy small successes in that context then there's very little left to enjoy at all.
We might want to be back in the higher leagues, but that's a long way off. In the meantime lets enjoy the baby steps. Time to ponder the second noble truth of Buddhism.![]()
