It has come from club not fabThis is very, very bad. Must be the club wanting it and the advisory board just going along with it so not to upset them. No united fan could possibly want this.

We’ve 1.5m followers on the Facebook account, which the last post was posted on, so I’d have thought significant chunk not using it is a stretch to suit your own bias, rather than been based on fact. Also, Elon Musk doesn’t own Facebook.Would that be the Social media that a significant chunk of the fanbase don't use?
I've been a season ticket holder since 1981, but now I have to line Elon Musk's pocket, just to know what is going on at my club.
Nope, it's not going to happen.
Exactly, they aren't going to write to individual fans. I don’t think people needing to be spoon fed information based on their own very specific needs are right for the FAB role, so probably best you didn’t apply.
Town cryer perhaps?Exactly, they aren't going to write to individual fans. It was on social media and programme what more are they supposed to do
Hear ye hear ye, Wilders starting with a back threeTown cryer perhaps?
I'm sure if you really wanted to, you could express an interest via email, or do you not do that either?Would that be the Social media that a significant chunk of the fanbase don't use?

Not sure how I feel about this. Guessing any song with swear words won't be used. So even for star man, it won't be used.

Pretty easy to organise a vote of ST Holders I would have thought these days with all the technology about
In the programme and on united twitter

I’m not on Twitter and Facebook, I don’t buy programmes and the club website is now almost unusable due to all the pop ups for the kit and tickets. I deleted the blades app years ago. So I don’t have access to the SUFC FAB.Exactly, they aren't going to write to individual fans. It was on social media and programme what more are they supposed to do
“Sack the board…”I vote for "Sing up Shoreham!"
The club did email about the new openings for the Fan Advisory Board. Just checked mine and there’s an email on 8th April with the information included.I’m not on Twitter and Facebook, I don’t buy programmes and the club website is now almost unusable due to all the pop ups for the kit and tickets. I do have a season ticket. I also don’t go away anymore, I also attend fewer home games. Last season when I was working away at the start of the season I got an email to ask if everything was alright as I hadn’t used my season ticket for the first couple of games.
I appreciate that I am perhaps in the minority. But there will also be many others in a similar situation.
The club can and should be using all forms simple communication and social media to get as much feedback on topics, if have responded to a simple survey sent to season ticket holders by email. I think this would also give a reliable level of feedback on people that already paid their money. This could be compared or used in conjunction with data from social media
In this instance it looks like this shocking idea has been rightly shut down, but things like Safe standing could’ve also have been addressed as well.
Fan Engagement isn’t just about getting large numbers of responses, but targeted responses by those that pay and those that may want to come and pay…
I don’t mean for the applications to the fan advisory board but that they could email season ticket holders (and members)for feedback on matchday experience mattersThe club did email about the new openings for the Fan Advisory Board. Wow Alan Woodwards wife still watches us !! I never knew , would love to meet her and talk about the great man himself. They had and have blades DNA , mind I already knew that about woody , there will never be another Alan Woodward, quality and loyalty wise

Ooohh. I like that.More enshittification. Do these people on the fan board have any clue about English football culture?

What are the figures for our followers on Facebook? How many are from Bangladesh? What’s the demographic split? As most of our socail media followers in Banglagdesh etc, after signing Choudray, I'm not sure that this is the conclusive 'proof' that you think it is.
As for the club's wensite, it is just an advertising platrorm.
Fair enough that I'm not the right person, but where is 'my representitive; who looks after old twars and social media refuseniks?
Jansky - is he on the FAB ?Ego riddled narcissistic retirees
Full of self importance having spoke to 2 of them![]()
You're welcomeThanks smart arse.
Of course I do, but then the club nevewr emailed me about it either.
I was discussing this with sone friends at the weekend (all season ticket holders) and we all said we hadn’t been consulted. The youngest amongst us is in his early thirties. He ridiculed the rest of us with his take which was along the lines of:What are the figures for our followers on Facebook? How many are from Bangladesh? What’s the demographic split?
There was also an email sent out to anyone on the club’s mailing list on 8th April. Presumably you’ll find some fault in that approach, too?
What do you want the club to do? Ring you up personally? You seem reluctant to do much else, apart from complain and make things up.

The issue isn't about Facebook numbers. The club used several channels to share the information, including email. If someone didn't see it, that doesn't mean the communication did not happen. You said earlier that the club hadn't communicated anything about FAB and it has been pointed out on several occasions that that they have in multiple ways - both social media and otherwise. That's the only point I am making. Continually shifting the argument and backtracking on moot points, rather than just admitting you missed it all, is a bit pointless.Facebook followers are a red herring, unless you genuinely think that sone Malaysian* teenagers who picked us because they liked the kit, should have a representative.
I do genuinely not recall seeing the email, as if so, I wouldn't be saying this.
Of course I don't expect personal consultation, but by banging on about social media, you have missed (or chosen to ignore), that a sizeable chunk of our fanbase don't use it.
