Fan Advisory Board

If it's just random slogans occasionally popping up whatever.

If it's intended to start chants it's just going to be ignored so whatever

Quite how a Saudi prince had slightly more idea of English football fan culture than these lot says a lot though. Even a Nigerian con man did in getting some fans on side down the pub!!

Would that be the Social media that a significant chunk of the fanbase don't use?

I've been a season ticket holder since 1981, but now I have to line Elon Musk's pocket, just to know what is going on at my club.

Nope, it's not going to happen.
We’ve 1.5m followers on the Facebook account, which the last post was posted on, so I’d have thought significant chunk not using it is a stretch to suit your own bias, rather than been based on fact. Also, Elon Musk doesn’t own Facebook.

It was also posted on the club’s website.

I don’t think people needing to be spoon fed information based on their own very specific needs are right for the FAB role, so probably best you didn’t apply.

Exactly, they aren't going to write to individual fans. It was on social media and programme what more are they supposed to do

I'm sure if you really wanted to, you could express an interest via email, or do you not do that either?

Pretty easy to organise a vote of ST Holders I would have thought these days with all the technology about

In the programme and on united twitter

I’m not on Twitter and Facebook, I don’t buy programmes and the club website is now almost unusable due to all the pop ups for the kit and tickets. I deleted the blades app years ago. So I don’t have access to the SUFC FAB.

I do have a season ticket. I also don’t go away anymore, I also attend fewer home games. Last season when I was working away at the start of the season I got an email to ask if everything was alright as I hadn’t used my season ticket for the first couple of games.

I appreciate that I am perhaps in the minority. But there will also be many others in a similar situation.

The club can and should be using all forms simple communication and social media to get as much feedback on topics, if have responded to a simple survey sent to season ticket holders by email. I think this would also give a reliable level of feedback on people that already paid their money. This could be compared or used in conjunction with data from social media

In this instance it looks like this shocking idea has been rightly shut down, but things like Safe standing could’ve also have been addressed as well.

Fan Engagement isn’t just about getting large numbers of responses, but targeted responses by those that pay and those that may want to come and pay…

The club did email about the new openings for the Fan Advisory Board. Just checked mine and there’s an email on 8th April with the information included.

I don’t mean for the applications to the fan advisory board but that they could email season ticket holders (and members)for feedback on matchday experience matters

It’s clear that the FAB doesn’t have a huge reach. This forum is actually a better place to post these sorts of things as well
