Failure to control our players

This thread has become increasingly ridiculous, but this takes first prize. "How can I frame the most innocuous, irrelevant event to seem as bad as possible and get people outraged."

How is it an 'innocuous irrelevant event' if we get fined £100,000+?

Because £100,000 is absolutely nothing to our football club, and the incidents that have caused these fines to pile up are barely even worthy of note in a match report. I don't even remember half of them happening despite being at all the games.

This is completely unacceptable now. It's a joke that we've not reigned it in. Why do we offend more than anyone else? It's not about our players caring more or anything, it's just needless bluster and bullshit. Are our owners happy to piss serious money away on this nonsense 3 or 4 times a season?

The players responsible should be fined significant amounts

Look at many of the incidents, as I said before they have mostly been handbags at dawn other than Coventry away.

A bit of pushing and shoving, I failed to see anything so egregious that warrants these endless fines. Also, every fine has been heftier for us even when the other team have been the instigators.

We will wait for the likes of Burnley, WBA and Wednesday to get their fines.

And across the entire 92 there's probably 3 or 4 games each week where there's a coming together of players.

Most have a blind eye turned, but not us apparently.

I wonder if we could take legal action regarding the fines if can prove a disparity between clubs being sanctioned and not sanctioned for effectively the same thing.

Not sure I agree with those complaining about the fines here. Robinson, Souza and Anel in particular need to stop with the post-game handbags 10 times a season.

It's part of the spectacle and most fans want to see it. The fines are irrelevant, dunno why you're getting worked up over it.

Loving the ‘it’s a conspireceh’ posts. Of course other clubs get pulled up on it, the league/FA/world is not all anti-Sheffield United, some of our fans love to think the world is against us though.

I don't see why we'd be treated any differently. Unless they're all still gravely offended by 'sandwichgate' last season

Speaking of fines etc

What happened with that racism in the PNE/Burnley game a few weeks ago?

Have the PIG bastards been charged for chucking fireworks at our players?

The report from the fa is in here somewhere. Us and Cov got the same punishment after that scuffle after the match. Ours had a multiplier because it was a repeat offence. We aren't being treated differently, it's the same rule for everyone.

Pfffft, what's £265k between friends. Also, the players probably do pay some of these fines.

On the other hand, being so blasé about paying 265k does demonstrate what a powerful powerful football club we are. When our opponents see that power they are defeated before they step onto the pitch

We desperately needed to re-set after the dismal performances of last season.
I'm not saying Wilder instigated it, but he had seen at first hand how the club lacked fight and what a sorry state we were in.
Right from the start of the season you could see how he turned it around, the "All for one, and one for all" attitude was desperately needed.
I don't have a problem with it, we've proved that we aren't going let teams bully us and they will stand up for one another. We didn't have that last season.
I have noticed that certain players, Anel, Gus and Sydie don't get too involved now, they leave it to the others.
Of course if you would rather us go back to the team that lacked fight then you're welcome to.

More funding for the FA staff Christmas party. Hope our players get an invite.

Remember the EFL had to pay the clubs we didn't pay out of their emergency kitty.

Glad to know we're helping to top it back up again
