Early start for the FA Youth Cup 4th Round tonight v Cat 1 Academy Derby County at Pride Park (7pm). (These Breweries aren't going to visit themselves).
A great battling win away at Cat 1 Boro in the last round. Manchester City or Nottingham Forest away in the last 16 for the winners. We've signed Jake Young since the last round, so I'm hoping he'll be eligible. Him, Gomis & Potts played some part for the U23s yesterday.
Teams, goals, arguments on my Twitter later

Maybe more details (including those Breweries) on my Blog idc

Call me rude if you will, but how old are you? You travel all over the place any day of the week so are you of retired age? No kids or flown the nest?

I’d do the same if I had the opportunity. So don’t think I’m slaying you or owt

Judging by his picture on here (if that is him), that looks like a typical mid-late 70's school photo, so probably born early 60's? (just guessing here)

Born 58. Turned 60 in October. Got a Senior Railcard, so I can really start getting about now. Stopped working in 2010. I got a tattoo of my leaving date as a leaving present from my esteemed colleagues.

Suggestions on a postcard?

It’s the reflection from the crimson velvet pantaloons and yellow clogs that makes him appear so healthy....

I'm not sure what pantaloons are........but it does sound like something that Phil would wear.

Throw in the CAMRA good guide and the back pack (Phil's moving on up from Carrier Bags) and I think we're getting there.

I don't know why Sharrowblade is getting involved in discussions about my age. I have posted this story before. But, he once bought a job lot of programmes & associated memorabilia at an auction. When he went through the papers he'd bought, one thing in there was an invitation to my 50th. That is still unfathomable to me - how does my Birthday Party invitation end up in an auction. Anyway, he should know from that sad episode how old I am

"Smashed safe deposit boxes are shown in the underground vault of the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Company raided by the veteran gang"

Does this bring back any memories about how you fund your beer consumption?

I don't know why but I always thought that you were a bit older than me (I turned 63 in November)

Bloody great this retired lark though.

I would have liked to go to Derby tonight but unfortunately I'm at a pensioner's beer and curry reunion later, after I've decided whether it's going to be Lanzarote or Tenerife for my next break from this grotty cold weather ;)

Last train home....

2-0 down at half time. Barely laid a glove on them in fairness.

Tyree Wilson looks a cracking player for Derby down the left.

I've written & published my Blog from yesterday at the FA Youth Cup. The positives were three Breweries visited, including a full on back street corner pub. But, there is little positive to say about the game. Derby looked better all the time & miles better some of the time. I'll acknowledge that made it difficult for our Nippers, but some of them kop a bit of criticism anyway.
Up to you....

And was it just an off-night for the youngsters?, we usually put up more of fight than that.
