I'd agree Deadbat. But I've been in that position and maybe it's the impatience of me but I'd be there queuing now. Spent many a night waiting for tickets. It's a great effort needless or not.

You have to remember that people with points are waiting for the tickets to go on general sale so they can go with friends and family. Not sure if Boo got round this or not?

I think people will surprised with how quickly they go this week. Hopefully must people are looking forward to having a game at Wembley to enjoy win or lose, unlike the semi against the pigs and the play off defeats. This is a free game.

I kind of agree in some ways. I queued early hours for Exeter the other year (extra tickets we had) and have queued for semi/playoff final tickets (never through night) but gone down say 6 or 7am. However many of those it was kind of first come, first served (no loyalty points). It is a good laugh in some ways and missed it oddly enough when we clicked a few buttons Monday to get ours in like 20 seconds. It was all too easy and did not think I had worked for it!

However, some people are panicking ridiculously by queuing now in my opinion. There are 10,000 tickets left. Even if there were say 1,000 people in queue (doubt there will be more than 3 or 4 hundred even by 9am) and they wanted 5 each; there would still be 5,000 left.

I genuinely think you could turn up tom afternoon when all queues have gone, Mon or even Tues and if you time it right (afternoon) you wont have to queue and can get it done very quickly. I disagree with above about how quickly they will go. We will shift another couple of thousand tomorrow. Maybe same Monday/Tuesday and I would be surprised if we don't have at least 2 or 3,000 left still towards end of week. We have struggled so shift a similar number (slightly more) for Burnley and Huddersfield. That is a not a knock on SUFC fans. It is stupidly expensive (getting there/tickets/hotels if you stay etc) and as I say many have been before.

Jeezus.
God help the club if we ever became successful.
How would our poor downtrodden fans make it to Turkey for a game only to have to go to Russia a fortnight later.
If they didn't sell out for this then they don't deserve any success whatsoever.

There are not many good tickets left. Only the cheap seats so If I was waiting for general sale then I would be trying to get there first. I know quite a few queuing this morning because of this.

Apparantly the queue is already snaking out of the car park and down Cherry Street.

Theres the little matter that we are the league one club, ie we arent expected to get through, the regulars are as up for it as ever, but the lack of even managing a goal in any previous big games ,Alan Corks scuffed shot apart hardly spurs on the occasional fan. I believe for us theres nothing to lose in this situation , we can give it a real go,, and can spring another surprise, but theres plenty out there thats only been to the showpiece games that will only remember us not showing up . The cost to a family of four , for tickets travel and food and drink now is similar to the cost of a weeks all inclusive holiday abroad which doesnt help

That's the problem BTL with an addiction though. You have to have it irrespective of the cost.

I'm in the queue now, albeit sat at my kitchen table on iPad. In the past I have been down at the ground queuing from 4am only for mates to go along later that day and easily get a ticket with no waiting. Putting my trust in technology..........

Well I decided not to que I got up went to gym and come home at 5 past 9 expecting a morning of frustration on the ipad, goes in to my flat and the wife had already got them all done,,now how easy is that.

Had to wait until today for tickets due to living in South Africa until the start of this season. Seems strange queuing at the ground when there is an online option. I am currently 25 mins from the front of the queue but have been having some breakfast and getting a few things done at the same time. I suppose the one advantage for those queuing at the ground is that at least last night was an hour shorter than usual!!

Got my tickets. Originallly had cat 2 but it messed up on me had to re queue (my luck) and I'm now in cat 3.

I got stuck on the payment processing screen 1st time around (on my iphone) but got sorted no probs on the laptop.

I've only received one confirmation email so I'm assuming I've only bought one ticket!

There's a pic on Bladesmad showing the queue prior to opening stretching down Shoreham Street.

It's the length of string needed between the two cans that is normally the problem.

I'm a bit sad, I actually like queuing and if I lived in Sheffield I probably would. One advantage over online, is you know where your seats are and can possibly change if unsuitable

Bought mine on line this morning after being given the knock back at the booking office cos I hadn't renewed my membership card. I have 26,000 loyalty points. Something wrong there especially when I offered to pay for the card and got the" computer says no" line.

Just logged online now and there are only the £30 tickets left (5000 allocation of this band). Have we really done 5k this morning?

Just been past bdtbl on way home and theres allready a few hardcore blades waiting for ticket office to open.

Forgive me - and I'm not getting at the people queuing, I'm glad there's tickets for everyone who wants to go and I know circumstances differ for all - but if they were "hardcore Blades", surely they would have had some loyalty points and not had to wait for general sale?

Usually I buy and pay for all the tickets, so my family members who are frequent attendees have no membership nor points. It the damned system!

If you go to more than 10 games a season why wouldn't you have got a membership card ? The box office have to draw a line somewhere and they stopped selling memberships the friday before the tickets started to be sold, plenty of time for someone to pay the £20.(less than £1 per week during the season...not exactly expensive). The club have made it clear for several seasons now that ST holders and members have priority for ticket sales.

You have had the chance to buy a membership since the beginning of the season so can't really complain when you cant get one just so you can jump the queue

I was given the knock back on Thursday as my son had thousands of 'Loyalty Points' but had forgot to renew his membership this year and despite him having been to many games this year home and away his 'Loyalty Points ' counted for nothing !
I had to get two tickets on my membership card and then go back today to get him two on general sale - As he lives near London and given the number of games he attends year in year out their doesn't appear much consideration for 'Loyalty'

But not loyal enough to become a member then at the start of the season?
