Another poor league performance following on from another good FA cup game, im not looking for excuses but can we put todays loss down to being distracted from the cup?
I dont get how we can put on a decent show in the cup then play so bad in the league? The side Nigel picked today was setup to be attacking and I honestly thought we'd beat Crewe 2 or 3 nil.
Maybe playing in the cup without pressure is the reason we perform so well there? Maybe where we are in the league the guys feel pressured and arent handling it so well? Or maybe all those people who wanted who wanted Doyle out of the team were wrong and that he is actually the heart beat of our team!?!
All I know is that tonight im left scratching my head again and wondering just what went wrong!
