Maybe admins can put that nice green CONFIRMED thing regarding Paddy Kenny who has definitely signed for Maltby Miners. My ITKer there tells me he was asked lightheartedly by his mate who runs the club if he'd like to join them and surprised the guy by saying yes. Warnock had offered to let him train with Cardiff but Paddy said no as its too far from home.

It's a gentle reminisce with the usual humour thrown in. The title made it clear what it is.

Please don't tell us what we should and shouldn't discuss. At best it is condescending and makes you look a knob.

Not saying that at all. Just saying that they aren't hero's and the hero worship thing is childish. I don't suppose that makes it better though?

They're just ordinary people.

I go out occasionally with an ex player. He just wants to be like the rest of us - go out for a beer and not be bothered by folks wanting a photo or a chat about what happened in some game 20 years ago. It's cringeworthy tbh.

Was talking with Quinny last year in a pub on Eccy road. Only got into conversation with him because someone spilt a drink over both of us! I never talked football or discussed his career. He didn't ask about my career either. It was just a friendly chat, interrupted by folks who wanted to be a small time celebrity by asking for a photo with him.

If your motive is to be seen with someone, rather than appreciate them for the person they are, I think that's immature and rather sad.

Paddy lives in Dinnington as far as I know.

Paddy is now at Gresbrough, used to live in Laughton next to Dinnington. Seen him at Tesco dinnington said he's got 4 houses at Greasbrough he rents out. He lives in one of them
