Not really a case of whether anyone likes it or not I'm sure it is of interest if you haven't read it before like I have. Once again you completely miss the point, what you are doing is not reporting it is just re-writing what someone else has already done and sorry to say that sums up everything about "The Star" every day it hits the streets it is a day late since moving to a morning publication. To be honest it wouldn't be worth reading if your chips were wrapped in it.Having the exclusive wasn't the point, hence why it wasn't billed as such. Surgery was last June so of course it's not 'new', timings are made clear. The story is his perspective on life and that is pretty timeless. Kyle wanted to tell his story to his local paper & I'm happy with the end product. So is he, although he found it difficult to read. I found it difficult to write. I'm sorry you seem not to enjoy it, but I can live with that. All the best

It'd surprise me. Here entirely at my own behest. I'm sorry our existence seems to offend you somehow SBT but you're intent on finding a conspiracy that isn't there, pal.
Yes it is quite possible, just seems strange that a Star reporter should post it here five months after the story was told elsewhere and at a time when the rag he works for is getting increasing criticism from a good proportion of Unitedites due negative stories, re-hashed articles about us and the latest shite of making stories out of unsubstantiated comments about violence from members on this forum. It is possible to do a story on the same topic and it not be "re-writing" the previous piece. I hadn't come across the Nix story previously.
Disclaimer: not a journalist, or involved in the media; just a Unitedite.
Your existence dosen't offend me. A local paper SHOULD be right at the heart of and represent with unanimity the whole community equally and with vigour.
Yours dosen't appear to in the eyes of countless United fans of which I'm just one. IF as you must have ,read all the Stir related threads on here you'll know I seldom engage in them, and I certainly wouldn't want anyone to lose their job.
Given the obvious belief among the Blades fanbase as to the perceived bias at your publication I am suprised you don't appear to in anyway look to listen, process, reflect and realise it isn't an outbreak of mass hysteria but the view that the Stir systemically favours one club over the other. Rather like the City Council has historically done.
You are lucky to have a job which is supposed to seek the truth amongst other things. Make a name for yourself.
The bias isn't perceived; it's real. The column inches, number of features, number and size of photographs devoted to the Pigs are far in excess of those allocated to United. T'was ever thus.
Over to you, Danny but no denial bollocks, please.
Tomorrow's Star so far, for your perusal. Picture exactly the same. A mighty four words difference between the two.
What's interesting to me, is that Wednesday fans think we're biased towards United.
Truth is, it simply doesn't exist, either way. Take that as 'denial bollocks' if you want, but it's in front of your eyes below

I wrote on a different Star thread yesterday that since joining this Forum about 6 months ago, I have read the print version of the Star regularly, partly looking for evidence of anti- United bias. I haven't found any. They have presented a positive image of the club under Wilder (quite rightly). There is plenty to criticise in the paper, but I don't see anti- Utd bias as being part of it.Shall we check it over, say a month? I have from time to time as have others. I had an exchange with Les Payne about it a couple of decades ago. In a controlled period third division Wednesday had more 'main headlines', more column inches and more photographs than First Division Blades.
Do you deny there is an editorial policy to favour Wednesday in terms of coverage? Truth now, please.
