Cooper won't want to sit on the bench, pickford is clearly number 1?!

Only thing maybe is they buy him but we get him on loan for this season?

Everton do seem to like our players. Need a few more bob for him though.

They can offer £50m, if he doesn't want to sit on the bench all season he won't go

Not even accepting £5m as a season long loan fee, not that we’d do that

If they can afford a big shiny stadium they can pay going rate - if Trafford is £30m+, cooper £20m+

For the derisory offer alone, I hope they go down,
I don't. There are three already set who I want to get relegated

He still has 3 years left on his contract, it would leave us in rather a sticky situation to bring someone in to cover. Realistically we got rid of Ramsdale to Arsenal for £24mill with add ons rising to £30mill in 2021. For us this isn't a position we are looking to change and are wanting to keep the status quo. Bare min has to be £30million as you have to think what is he worth to us. If we want to be within a shout of promotion and the £200Million+ that is now worth, we have to take into account how much Coops is going to assist us in that. We are under no pressure to sell, everyone has their price however but a £50mill price tag should be slapped on Coops as he is going to critical in us pushing on this season or not plus realistically how many games will Coops get at Everton, with the number 1 there is Pickford so he isn't going to be 1st choice, Mark Travers from Bournemouth is set to sign at Everton according to several papers which, would make him 3rd choice as Travers is going as backup keeper so I think this rules this one out.

Travers having a medical at Everton today according to the press

Regardless of what's on offer to both Utd and the player, Cooper doesn't strike me as the sort to sacrifice the remainder of his career for the sake of his bank balance. I'd be amazed if he goes there just to play the odd cup game and sit on the bench every week.

It's alright saying what he is potentially worth to us and setting the price at that. I've no issue with that but what he is worth to us is irrelevant if a club comes in and he implies he wants to go.

In all honestly if Everton, or anyone else for that matter, stuck £20m on the table and he said he wanted to go then he'd be gone.

I personally think he's miles better than Ramsdale so in a perfect world that would be the guide when determining his price however Ramsdale had amassed 2 full seasons in The Prem at that stage whereas Copper hasn't played at that level so his value, to the buying club at least, is significantly devalued, rightly or wrongly.

I honestly think he'll still be here come the start of the season. As Mouth of the South says above he's not going anywhere to sit on the bench even if his bank balance is better for it. He's no Scott Carson or Wes Foderingham.

If Trafford goes I reckon Pope will probably go the other way so hopefully that's Burnley out of the equation. My worry is Leeds if they come in and offer him the No1 spot as his head might be turned then. In all likelihood though they'll probably go abroad as they look like they have the sort of ownership model now that will use the foreign market over the British one.

Here's hoping anyway.

Terry Curran
Carl Tiler

Jon O’connor. Was that a loan or perminent? Can’t remember. Wasn’t Graham Stuart from Everton? Weren’t they all involved in the same transfer? Obviously not Curran, but Ward and Tiler.

It doesn’t help saying selles has no budget so everyone thinking get coops on cheap
