Everton prepared to raise their offer to £5,000,000 for Cooper

The OP assumes that Everton have made this ridiculous offer for Michael Cooper .

Is there any concrete evidence that this is the case or has this suggestion come from totally unreliable sources such as Nixon etc , since I’ve not seen any mention of this in the more reliable media outlets .

The reality is that he is under contract for us for at least another 2 years and we entitled to retain his services for that length of time .

As such , we have the right to turn down any offers made for him and would be right to do so , since there is no question that we could replace him with anyone nearly as good .

In terms of his true valuation , the benchmark must surely be that of the fact that we got £24 rising to 30 million for Ramsdale who was at the time and still is , a significantly less competent keeper than MC .

In addition , if big offers do come in which we reject , I don’t see him having the sort of personality to down tools to force a sale as Ramsdale shamefully did .

If that affirmation of “hardly overwhelming/ ‘feeder club’ territory”
Or
“We’ve likely signed more from across the city over the same period? “
Or
“ I guess yo’ll correct me”
?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

PS (I hate the ‘closed’ season (+ no cricket to attend - roll on Scarbados next week)

Jon O’connor. Was that a loan or perminent? Can’t remember. Wasn’t Graham Stuart from Everton? Weren’t they all involved in the same transfer? Obviously not Curran, but Ward and Tiler.
Initially loan & subsequently ‘permanent (for a handful of games)
The initial ‘debate’ was that Everton ‘frequently’ ‘plundered’ us, not ‘t’other way round

NB I’m confident that Silent Blade will be along shortly to afford the definitive answers to you queries (& many more?!?!?)

Jon O’connor.
The future has not been written. There is no fate but what we make for ourselves. I wish I could believe that. My name is Jon O'Connor. They tried to sign me before I was born. When I was 13, they tried again. Scousers from the future. Hub-cap scallys. All my life my mother told me the storm was coming - Judgment Day, the beginning of a bidding war between the scallys and The Blades.
