Who would consider sitting in the home end for a European away tie? I've got plenty of inlaws in Norway and the Netherlands who might be able to get me tickets if necessary.

Not sure I'd want to try it in, say, Serbia - probably unfair stereotyping but I can't imagine you'd, ahem, "stay safe" if you let your allegiance slip sitting in the Delije block after McGoldrick completes his hattrick at Red Star Belgrade.

Even Nicola Sturgeons allowing supporters back in to games in Scotland when they reopen . True a lot of their crowds are socially distanced apart from 2 clubs

I think you'd be fine in most places if the away end was sold out or closed, and you were drinking with the home fans first.

If we get into Europe and draw a team away, I'm going regardless of location and ticket availability. Like others have said, you can watch it in a bar if the worst comes to the worst.

Probably the worst tie would be against an Israeli team due to the massive security, entry restrictions etc. Closely followed by Russia where some fans are still living in the 1980s.

In a "normal year", it's easy to guard against loyalty point fraud for European away games. Allocate the tickets by loyalty points, take the applications, take the money. But, collect the ticket in the foreign city by presenting your passport in person. That way the person whose points they are has to be in the foreign city to collect the Ticket. OK, they can still pass it on, but they've had to travel to Minsk to do it. I've had to do that for years at England away matches. That system was also used for Piacenza away in the Anglo Italian. Although, we did find a Blag around that.

Yes I agree totally. I really don’t mind the loyalty points accrued by a person going to the games. But it’s when they don’t go to games but still get tickets for their pals. That really boils my piss.

Games here in Poland can have up to 25% of the ground's capacity allowed in.
Currently, and with only a couple of games left in the season, Legia Warszawa have won the league and taken the Polish champions League spot with Piast Gliwice already qualified and Lech Poznan looking like taking the two Europa League places.

I’d be tempted to go regardless. Excuse to see another place. And as others have said I’ve waited a few years to even get this near. Game will be on local telly, so may even get a good atmosphere in a bar.

Plus if you don’t go then you’ve certainly got no chance of finding a way in. In it to win it and all that.

Might even get one of those Mission Impossible masks made and pretend to be one of the bench players. Anyone know if they do belly masks too? Sort of lose 4 stone ones? Otherwise my fuller figure may put paid to my impersonating plan!
