I thought he was more of a hybrid of Duffy/Fleck.
Being small would not put Wilder off.
Yeah you’re probably right about the Duffy / Fleck thing.

Being small wouldn’t put wilder off but with him alongside Fleck and Duffy we’d win nothing in the air and sides would exploit that.

For me we need a Basham or a Lundstram in the middle for the height and break up play as Coutts/ Fleck shared a lot of the break up activities. If Lundstram or Basham were there they’d probably sit deeper as well

Look at his movement off the ball and with ball and his awareness, thats what i see,you dont see that Carlton Blade
When I've seen him live I haven't thought he stood out. Id be happy to be wrong but i feel like the game would pass him by. I think Carruthers does similar things at a higher level (slightly different position). I do think there is a bit of novelty value due to his height as well

Apparently been no way near as good this season as he was last season.

Although could be to do with Walsall being a lot worse this season.

Looks more like a lower-League Carruthers from the video. Decent at dribbling and likes to try something unorthodox. Doubtful he’d get in our team ahead of Duffy, Brooks and Carruthers though.
Still think this Latters?

Lower league players will always split opinion. When we signed Duffy he hadn't pulled up any trees, but now he's one our very best......as for height, I give you Hazard at Chelsea, doesn't seem to put the Spanish giants off from wanting him......so, back to the height-challenged Londoner (for that is where he's from), my take is that a change of scenery might be just the thing to give him, and us, someone that little bit special. At our best we play great one and two touch football. This guy would revel in that type of team, so worth a punt that might give us the edge we desperately need.

Much less of a gamble than some of the names suggested on here. His vision, control, passing, shooting, and ball retention looks far ahead of Carruthers.

A very good shout this one. Would fit in nicely with how we play.

Would still like him here. You can never have enough creativity.

The argument against signing him before the season started was that we already had Carruthers who provided more than adequate cover for Duffy. I agreed at the time.

We've found out that he doesn't.

He can score goals this lad, he's relatively young, and he's got bags of technical ability. He'd be a good signing.

Oh, so your the one that's actually knows what Hammond brought to United then are you......

THIS ^^^^
This guy could well be useful if as it seems likely brooks could be gone in January. Carruthers was supposed to be the heir apparent to Duffy in the championship but he really hasn't cut it so otzhumer could well be the answer

I posted elsewhere in this thread, but seeing as there's almost complete agreement about what he brings to a team, the question of size seems a minor consideration compared to his talent. Oztumer is tricky, technically as good a player as I've seen when Walsall visited United, and most importantly, there's an end product. I think in a better team, and no disrespect to Walsall but we're exactly that, Oztumer would not only excite our supporters, he'd also provide the necessary skill that would enhance our already considerable creative edge.

This is one player who could become a shoe-in, and given that we're not shopping with a multi-million budget, his acquisition would, with hindsight, be viewed as a steal.

Still seems to be like an absolute no brainer. Exactly the type of player we should be going for.

Who knows, hopefully it's one of those out of the blue signings that you don't hear anything about until it's done. Like many of our signings actually.

Those are the best ones. I just love surprises!

He's also an actual dwarf so would tick that box when the diversity police come round. UTB
