Just seen Silent Blade post footage of us losing at the sty in 94, I didn't view, nor have I ever rewatched us lose @Chelsea in 94 nor at home to Wigan in 07.

I remember someone once saying Dennis Law back heel goal that sent Man Utd down had been consigned to the dustbin by someone at Man Utd and could never be seen anywhere .

So which footage should we consign to the dustbin apart from the ones I've named?

Keep it watch it. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Palace and Huddersfield must have been near?

Yes, Huddersfield was the day after. I was in Greece at the time. Told the ex what happened, she didn't give a shit.

Palace was 27th I think. The first and last time I cried after a defeat, although in my defence I was 12 at the time :)

To be quite frank after Chedgate I didn't really feel anything after Huddersfield as it's what I expected.

Just look at the thread about the best thing of being a Blade at the moment. All the positives are 10 times sweeter because of all the rubbish we have had to endure - don't whitewash the past, enjoy the present and the future. And that includes enjoying the present because there will be more bad moments at some point in the future.

Play-off defeats against Wolves and Burnley.

The first one was the day after my 18th birthday (the ticket was the present)

Second was ON my birthday.

Fuck both of those games.
I feel your pain. The Huddersfield play-off was on my 65th birthday. Losing a play-off final, officially becoming old - neither are great experiences.

Liverpool at home first game back in the prem and the intent to foul pen. I came back off my holiday just for the match. It also was my 50th birthday. Said at the time those 2 points could cost us. Cheating scouse get. Missus never did understand why I came back with the face on.

I know it's supposed to be other than Chelsea '94 etc. but I've still not recovered from that one.

I'd been in the pub all afternoon watching the scores come in and when I left just after 4 : 30 I think we were 6th from bottom and I walked home pissed but 'appeh.

When I got there, we were fucking DOWN ! It could only happen to us.

I was too young to really comprehend it at the time but wasn't there some dodgy business regarding Everton v Wimbledon in the other relegation decider?

Dodgy doesn't begin to describe it. I take it you weren't st Plough Lane when Fashanu became a Harlem Globetrotter for the afternoon but in front of a blind ref either?

Hans Segers was the name of the cunt in question at Everton btw.

Hans Segers that's the one. Didn't he get implicated in some bribery scandal along with Bruce Grobellaar or am I conflating the two?

All I remember about that period was going to school in a Pig dominated area of town and having to put up with those braying gloating insufferable little shits for weeks. Probably explains why my hatred for Wednesday is so intense to this day.

That game was one of the ones investigated for the court case. Money was found in his bank account. He said it was from a stolen car ring although he was never charged over that . After seeing the game at Plough Lane l thought it would be an open and shut case, but a then Wendy director said they'd all get off with it because if they didn't, the integrity of the FA/PL would be called into question and that couldn't be risked. The only conspiracy theory Ive ever bought into.

Not linked with that but I'd just like to say Rob Styles was a cheating bastard as well.

Sounds like a rotten affair from top to bottom. Nothing surprises me with the bastards who govern the English game though.

Don't get me started on Rob Styles. Worse than Graham Poll and Mike Dean combined that cunt. And a preening narcissistic tosser to boot.
