Lets be honest, i wouldn't be too bothered about us getting it again, the game is bobbins!
Its not just about getting Legends games, its about getting real World class games, games that would really give Bramall Lane exposure. We apparently are planning a bid to be a World Cup 2012 stadium and I'm sure have ideas about hosting European games in the future. Games like tonights would have been a good chance for us to get noticed!

Well, we left at half time. Although it was indeed a "Legends" match, the Germans were far better, and certainly leaner and fitter. England were very poor, and some players simply embarrassing.
I know it was all for charity, but if there ever is another fat has-beens match at the Lane I'll just bung them the money and not bother going to watch a bunch of blokes older than me huffing and puffing their way around our pitch. John Barnes was breathing through his arse after the effort of the handshakes before the game started.

And weren't we promised Brian Deane by all the pre-match sales waffle from the Lane?

Are we?

Didn't realise there was a 2012 world cup ;)

2018 maybe fella, and a lot can happen in 10 years.

Most of it was pantomime booing, and to be honest there were just as many cheers when he touched the ball.

I wouldn't say that what we witnessed was really a football match, but as a piece of pantomime it was pretty good entertainment. There were 10,000 people there too, which I didn't think was a bad turnout.

Nice to see Flapper Woods demonstrating the form that made him a truly great goalkeeper who defences had got complete confidence in.

in the same net as when deano megged him

What type of people would boo an england legend all game in a charity match for derek dooley?

Cant understand the mindset of some united fans, really cant.

The match was for the Derek Dooley Cup, however the money went to China earthquake apeal so i believe you could say it was more in aid of China than Derek Dooley

The match was poor but I thought the turnout was exceptional with 10,000 plus. At the end of the day it was all for charity.
With regard to Robbo and the booing it was all in good humour, it's not even an issue.
Instead of trying to find an angle on everything lets just enjoy.
