Magnificent apart from the last minute fuck up. Had all and sundry telling me he wasn't good enough last season, despite his attacking threat only reducing because of O'Connell's achilles issue. Where are you all now?

At times it was like he was defending on his own tonight, and strangely that’s not a slight on the other defenders who also played well. It’s just that Stevens seemed to be everywhere.

Highlight tonight (apart from the goal) was Enda beating Philips in a sprint down the wing and still winning us a goal kick. Quality defending.

i thought he was MOM also. He was solid as a rock against quality players. What is he worth now? special mention to Stearman for stepping up to the plate when he came on. And what about Cranie? I was happy when he kept his place in the team, because i feel hes a better defender than Bash. For away games anyway.

An absolutely first rate player has emerged this season.

Three games at LCB, three immaculate performances.

He's a machine physically and is developing every other part of his game as well. Regular football at this level has done him a world of good, and I think he'll carry on getting better. It was definitely right to give him 3 and a half years and not just 2.

He was probably MOTM tonight. Cut out so many balls so cleanly and had to help manage Johnson at the same time.

He won't have a bigger test at this level than a game like that, and he came through it so well it was ridiculous.
