Once, I thought it was a shithole to be honest. Back when Fernandes seemed more interested they had more money to throw around than Soft Mick. I'd imagine that would be quite a pull for some of the more mercenary types
I wouldn't call it a shithole because I like old grounds but it has limited charm. I think the days of throwing money at the club are gone and the owners have learned hard lessons. If he went there instead of to us I'd suspect it was because he wanted to go out in London a lot, rather than because he thought it would advance his career. That's not young and hungry, that's young and stupid.

I like the old grounds too, just wasn't too taken with that one. We do quite a few Antique Fairs at the Macron, it's getting on for a "modern" ground now but it still isn't great IMHO

The Macron? The fucking Macron? How can a stadium that's been built in our lifetime be an old stadium? Just because it holds antiques fairs, it's not an antique. I've got clothes as old as the Macron.

Loftus Road is a bit shit but it's a genuine 'antique', like Brentford, a reminder of days gone by when all blokes wore suits and a hat.

sorry, what I meant was when I looked on a plaque there I think it said 1997, I didn't realise it was quite that "old" if you get my meaning.

Have you been to Loftus Road? Given the choice of playing there or at the Lane, it's not even worth wasting five seconds thinking about it. The only 'advantage' is that it's in London but if a player has that as a main priority, we don't want them anyway.

How is being in London an advantage? You can't drive anywhere, very expensive and house prices are ridiculous. A championship players wages will go a lot further in Sheffield.

Because there's a lot more to spend your money on and it's a good place to live if you're rich, which championship players usually are. That's why I say if he chose QPR over us, because it was in London, we wouldn't want him. We want players who want to train hard and succeed, not spend their time in Mayfair clubs with plastic-titted models.

Look at 29yrs old chances are hes got a toddler or two who will probably be settled at a school or nursery.
I'm sure his career and one last shot at the championship is massive to him but it'll be far from everything.

Isn't this Enda Stevens thread , the one who has decided to go elsewhere?

Considering this is a thread on Enda Stevens... That's who thought you were talking about? It's Stevens that QPR are trying to snatch from under our noses

No one seems to know that sadly! Its all gone very quiet, very few rumours, press reports of him going anywhere or staying at Pompey

Apparently he's on a holiday in Marbella with the rest of the Portsmouth team and he got pissed at the same time as Chris Wilder did in Sheffield and they both passed out on the same full moon night so they both swapped bodies and both are trying to make sense of the situation.

This is why the signing is being delayed.

Just heard from an itk source that the deal's off, QPR have offered him higher wages, and the London factor has also played a part in his decision and I made this up.
I've heard we've signed him and are doing a part ex with Wigan for Sam Morsy,is it today dad?eye could be sono_Oo_OThis may be a little fib........,

Who have we been talking to about the move if he's still away on holiday?

Checking this every day for the green tick of confirmation like
