While in no mood to be an apologist for the state of the team etc, the decision not to send him off and his subsequent goal was a travesty on par with Tevez. Wonder if Mccabe will be onto the lawyers again

shame he wasn't sent off in the game like he should have been.

see ref's conspire against us this season if its not our defence gifting goals
its inconsistant refs we have had no chance.

lets get Mcabe to sue the refs and show a dvd of all the bad decisions against us this year and that they have cost us or place in the championship. LOL

It's fairly irrelevant in our position, but I often think it's a little unfair when a player is punished after the event and goes on to then miss games against the rivals of the club who were wronged, thus helping the rivals.

Has the referee explained why he didn't send off ?

Dont be silly sitwell, they dont have to do that! Haven't you heard about the respect campaign? - Accept everything, question nothing!!!!! In other words if its not feasible to defend the blatant, just adopt a rule of censorship.

The fact that the ref didn't deem it to be even worth a booking is absolutely farcical. Hope the ref gets suspended to.

I'm assuming you are being a little sarcastic here? Hardley Tevez-esque proportions...

Marvin Emnes

Gets a three-match ban for violent conduct in the win over Sheffield United

This pisses me off more as he was the player that scored the winner for Boro!

Kin referees!

Lets sue the FA

EDIT - Oops sorry I'd missed this during the week... as you were

Above troll banned for not being exciting enough to be placed in Special Measures.

As you were chaps...

What always gets me about this sort of decision is that it doesn't benefit us in the slightest, and could actually work against us.
I know it's academic for us, but say Middlesborough were to now play Palace, Donny and Preston, they'd have one of their main strikers missing.

Another stupid thing that occurs is when a player is injured and then has to go to the side whilst the player who caused the injury stays on.
I know this was done to stop players feigning injury, because that's worked judging by the number of players rolling around in the Premiership every week for the slightest touch, but at least send both players to the side to even up the numbers.

The best way around this would be to allow physios onto the field while the game continued around them. The 'injured' player would then be motivated to get himself back up on his feet as his team would be continuing with only ten men.
