Buendia is much more of a solution than Brewster IMO. It’s not as if our strikers are missing ‘Andy Cole - Man Utd’ levels of chances every game. We’re basically creating nothing. It’s no wonder forwards are snatching at chances, coming along as little as they do.

Well Robinson has gone and all bar £3m of the proceeds went on Burke, Freeman is out on loan so is very unlikely to be sold this year to raise monies and how much do you think selling Lundstram would realise - £2m maybe. There are of course their wages to consider but you're still miles away from anything like £15m if that is the point you were trying to make.

Have we spent too much on back up? We all thought the fee Villa paid for Cash was ridiculous and quite rightly we pulled out. However he was on the pitch last night and our ex Derby boys weren't.

Of course we need to strengthen the squad but our first team last night was no better than last season. Villa's was with Watkins, Cash and Martinez all playing. The same is true of a number of teams who finished below us last season.

CW has always said he won't put the future of the club at risk so people will have to accept there is limited funds available for transfers this summer.

Ramsdale, who wouldn't have been my choice, was signed to fill an obvious and critical gap and took up a fair proportion of the budget.

Depending on what happens with a striker i.e. puchase or loan, it may free up budget for another midfielder but I'd fully expect them to be in the £5m bracket (e.g. Swift) that the £20m bracket (e.g. Buendia or Cantwell)
