Or bring Long back?![]()
We can't. The window has closed. You can only recall players in the window so it's too late.Or bring Long back?![]()
Yes, if Blackman isn’t fit. Eastwood hasn’t made 5 senior appearances.2 keepers missing

It’s different for keepers, I’ve just looked it up and we can recall Long within 24 hours. Not sure what period for though. We can't. The window has closed. You can only recall players in the window so it's too late.
In that case, it's an option then. Not one I want us to exercise but I'd have more confidence in him than Jake, tbf. It’s different for keepers, I’ve just looked it up and we can recall Long within 24 hours. Not sure what period for though.
Yes, Jake looked very nervous and hesitant. In that case, it's an option then. Not one I want us to exercise but I'd have more confidence in him than Jake, tbf.

I’m not sure it works like that, I think he’s free to go back to Wimbledon once our “emergency” is over ie Blackman fit (and Wilder expects him back in training on Monday) or after Moore has served the suspension. If Blackman is not fit it would be better to get in a short term emergency loan from a premiership club. Ward at Liverpool would be ideal. Long not for me and we would be stuck with him for the rest of the season if we called him back.
Hugo Warhurst played U23 this week v CreweI would have thought the issue is more a question of who goes on the bench if Eastwood plays![]()
Interestingly Wilder said in the post match interview he would have no qualms in starting Jake Eastwood v Leeds if Blackman isn’t fit.
The rest of the thread covers his options but he didn’t give any indication they’d look at a loan.No qualms and no other option has he?

A 7 day emergency loan but I think we could recall Long for 7 days.
I’d forgotten he went to Chesterfield and played 4 games so I think you’re right. He hasn’t played 5 games for us but it must be all first team games. Jake will start if Blackman is unfit. Not sure about the emergency loan regulation but if a professional keeper has fewer than 5 first team games then you can get an emergency loan keeper in. However I think Eastwood has 5 first team games 4 at Chessy and 1 today or 7 if you include the EFL cup. So........ how I see it no option for an emergency loan. If Blackman is unfit it is Eastwood who will be playing.
Yes, it covers suspensions. Logically, it has to otherwise you’d have to stick an outfield player in goal. Can you even get an emergency loan keeper to cover a suspension or is it just for injuries ? Assume Moore is out for 3 games for violent conduct rather than professional foul.
How lovely.Have to say I was delighted when Moore was injured pre season as I felt sure we would go down if he was in goal all season.
