I AM CRAP AT BETTING.
So it's been 2 long years since i last won a bet, it was only £23 from a £1 stake. I never bet large amounts and i only usually have a couple of 5 fold Acca's and a BTTS Acca every weekend. (And midweek if there are any games). I pick a few odds on favourites in my Acca's but i like to bump the odds up a bit with a couple of outside bets too. Nothing ever seems to work for me so i will post my bets on here so you can see which games i have bet on, meaning you should avoid them at all costs; because when i bet on them, naturally they mostly lose. (All betting odds are from Betfred)

*I know this post is late and i hope you avoided most of these bets, but in future i will hopefully get my bets posted at least a few hours before kick off to give you time to avoid them. Should the day ever come when i win a bet, i will claim to be the greatest betting man in history. But remember.... AVOID THESE BETS.

I'll be sure not to bet on both teams to score at Forest, thanks for the tip

Though in fairness, who here regularly wins accumulators and what do you predict for next week?
There is a full round of midweek fixtures this week but i've not checked them out yet. I will try and post my Acca's by 6pm [at the latest] on Tuesday.

No, I want a winner to post.

When you do an accumulator it looks great because each game added increases your odds exponentially. So why do the bookies offer such an incredible deal? Because each event you add also multiplies their edge, meaning accumulators have a much better expected value for the house than singles bets.

Fortunately for them people still gamble with them anyway.

i live in France, i tend to put 2, 3 from 4 bets as they call them on every weekend, cost's me 16 euros and i tend to get 1 out of every 3 weekends up, i generally break even with that, getting 3 right every couple of weeks, but if i manage to get 4 up that's where the profit comes,

think i managed that 4 times last season for a profit of about 800 euros

however i lost more than that, betting on other sports and racing etc

i find the football betting system here good, i tend to go for 4 of the big clubs worldwide, now their price may only be 1.2 (1/5 in the uk) but if you do them on a handicap with a -2 start the prices can be ok you can get more like 6/ 4 or 7/4 even 2/1

so generally i do that 3 from 4, is 4 bets

if 3 of them come up i generally make about 40-60 euros profit

if all 4 come up can be anything from 150-300

but don't worry my friend im generally as shit as you

but my bet today is

Chelsea to win by a 1 goal margain 9/4
RB leipzig to win by 2 goals or more 6/4
PSG to win by a 1 goal margain 11/4
Seville to win by 2 goals or more 6/4

cost 8 euros potental gain for all 4 197.80
gain for 3 out of 4 around 35-50

Over the year I am usually well up with a couple of quid a week, but on a barron run at the moment. Needed a Villa equaliser for £100 yesterday I got the other 5 on my acca. For what it's worth today I have gone for us, Chelsea, Cardiff, Rangers and a draw for Notts v Wrex. 1 x 6 acc £1 returns £48.33 and 5 x 25p four folds returns £28.81.

Eggy. I'll give you my theory on betting built up through personal experience.

Over the round you'll do well to get more than 55% bets correct. The bookies are mean on the odds to counteract the fact you get more right than wrong. Any bets you place over 5/4 will produce less than 55%.

We all have good and bad days but the average, if it is 55% will gradually drain your cash.

Chances of guessing all 8 right in an Acca at good odds is a rarity and the losing bets lose so many bets and make 6 correct just over break even. The bookies play the statistics all the time. They'll give us incentives to bet 5 plus Accas all day long.

Your 3 Accas yesterday were 60%, 40% and 45% correct. On 17 bets you got 8 right - 47%. You are right , you are not that good!

Take a look at the Predictions League where 50% correct forecasts will probably win the competition and that includes all the stone wall bankers when the bookies give you 1/3 or even less. I reckon I got 3 right, including 1 banker and 2 bankers that I got wrong!!

Good luck with it all Eggy. Your selections yesterday were eminently sensible but that's football as they say. What were your losses?

Red Bull letting you down for sure. That's going to be the single most hostile atmosphere any team will play in all year

You might as well give your money to a homeless person. It would make you feel better than putting daft bets on. Or buy a Euromillions ticket. You’ve no better chance of winning but at least you can dream big. You’re giving away £2 on bets that are highly unlikely to win and the best you’d come out with is a night out.

I think for many it just makes for a more interesting night watching the results come in. I only lob a few pound in on big accas but it definitely adds to my enjoyment watching games that I'd otherwise have little interest in. I think I was £20 up last season which isn't worth it financially but I got some enjoyment cheering for teams like Peterhead and Harrogate!
