Why was Keogh a back seat passenger ,when only 2 of them were in the car ?

Dislocated knees (because that's what I've heard the injury is) are usually career-threatening, especially so when you're the wrong end of 30. Wouldn't surprise me if Keogh retired.

Because they can get done for joint enterprise. If they've got a clever lawyer and the CPS fuck up procedurally there's a chance they'll get off with it so it sounds as if their legal team are on to it already.

To be pedantic, I don't think many people are convicted under joint enterprise for drunk driving. Joint enterprise covers situations where a group of people start doing something illegal, and while doing so one member of the group committs another offense - the most obvious example being someone committing murder during a robbery.

It is possible to be convicted for aiding & abetting drunk driving.

I think they were in separate cars racing each other , so both charged on separate issues

Incredible stupidity of the highest order.

The 2 cars were heading in the same direction, so if both cars have crashed, then assume it must have been an overtaking manoeuvre gone wrong, makes you wonder if the 2 players were racing each other.

Also make you wonder if the 2 Derby players might receive a short prison sentence and if any of the players will be sacked.
Keogh must feel like his world has ended, might not play again.
He’s club captain and has single handily destroyed Derby’s promotion hopes by taking out 2 of his colleagues with him.
If any of the 3 players are sacked....then the club loses millions with the players becoming free agents to join another club on a free.

The usual punishment for this type of offence when no one ends up dead is a driving ban and heavy fine.
Club punishment on top of that,will fall short of the sack as the players involved are worth a considerable amount in the transfer market.
All my opinion of course just an experienced
driver with no legal qualifications , seen many similar situations over the years.
