Player Suggestion Eberechi Eze

Butler was pied by Clough. Think Butler was a bit too outspoken for Nigel's liking...he ended up at Donny and was made captain. Rovers fans I know really rated him.

Seem to remember it was a training ground thing, first day or so, Butler and Clough had words and that was it.

Luckily we had Jay McEveley to fill the void.

And some bloke called Chris Basham who was definitely better suited to midfield. Good job Cloughie didnt gamble on him in defence...

Would prefer Eze over Watkins personally.

Plus, we could keep up our Kasabian love-in and play this for him every week:

Luke Freeman is a good player but I don't think he can play Fleck's role. He's used to playing a roaming AM role at his previous clubs where he doesn't have much defensive responsibility. Fleck's good at playing the LCM role because he's got a combative side to his game, he gets stuck in and knows where he needs to be out of possession. I don't think Freeman's got that, he looks lost at times and as though he's chasing shadows. If we were to play Freeman at CAM ahead of two CM's and allow him to free roam like Duffy did, he'd be excellent I think.

...and yet we haven't, we really ought to.

Just had a look on the QPR forum,
  • They seem confident he will go in January.
  • They obviously think £12m is too low, but don't indicate that the club will think the same.
  • Most seem to think he will go to Spurs (mainly due to paper reports) but some fans write that off straight away now Mourinho is there.
  • They have a dig at us, saying it would be the wrong move and that we wont be in the Prem long enough for him to warrant moving.
  • A few point out that Lampard is now interested and he seems right up their street.

Oh let’s buy him then....because some forums thinks he ok...have a minute pal

Lest we forget forums made out Robinson was top class ...and look how that’s turning out

Let’s maybe do a loan in Jan ..if we can from maybe left field ..and save taking calculated risks until the summer

Tottenham also could be interested...

EDIT: Sorry, already been said 🙄

Have they seen the league table?! Also a move to one of the so called lesser PL sides will be much better for his career than sitting on the bench for Spurs. The lad Clarke from Leeds springs to mind, he couldn't get back in the Leeds team this season either!

How legit is this guy? I confess to only having seen highlight reels?

I ask because I never saw anything in Luke Freeman when he was at QPR, but I was assured he'd 'definitely make the step up', no worries.

He looks a raw talent who could be moulded into a great player but wether that's the market we are in remains to be seen
Spurs or Chelsea can take a gamble onna player like him and spend months moulding him ,not sure we are there yet

Is it today dad?

Seriously though, at present we don't really play an attacking mid or winger. Hence why Morrison and Freeman have been rarely used. Even when chasing games we seem to bring on another striker for a mid rather than push a mid further up.

So were would he play? Or would we change our formation to accommodate him? (Can't see this) Who would he be competition for? Fleck? Norwood?

Lundstram and McGoldrick I reckon is who he would compete with. I remember on that team-sheet that was in that Dubai conference between tufteh and the prince there was a side note on how a player to cover both of these would be desirable

Long term McGoldrick-replacement I think, roaming behind Mousset or McBurnie. Would be exciting if we could make it work. Doubt he could do Lundstram's job.

Didn’t he have a fall out with clough? Along with all the other centre halves if I remember? I wonder what he said to them? Right lads were gonna do something a bit different, I want our gk to play CM and you guys play last man back?
Clough fell out with all his Centre Halves so he could be innovative and play full backs Alcock and Brayford in the middle instead.

Noticed that Eze hasn’t been selected for today so he won’t be cup tied for a potential transfer unless he’s injured or I’m reading into something that isn’t there.

Don't build your hopes up mate, it's probably a signing we should make but have we the cash ? And we're are we in the queue, probably at the back..

I would love to sign Eze, however I just don’t see where he will play in our flat 3. He does not have the work rate of a Lunny or Fleck.

You would have thought playing on Sky Sports yesterday again he may have put in a shift, or try to look good in some way. I didn’t see much of him at all. Very anonymous performance.
He looks like a player very content picking up a decent wage and living in London.

You managed to come to that judgement after just 90 minutes of football?
