Like many other supporters, I cannot attend the game tomorrow due to work commitments. There must be thousands like me who live in exile around the country (darn sarf) and those scattered around the globe who would give their right arm to be at BDTBL tomorrow.
So I contacted the Club shop earlier in the week to enquire if they would be producing a DVD showing the build-up of the game, the game itself and then the celebrations and cup presentation etc., only to be told they did not have plans to do one.
Surely, a celebration such as this, there would be many thousands of supporters who would willingly pay £10, £15, or even £20 for a copy. Even those who are attending would want a copy.
The shop has surely missed a trick here, which would have brought in some much needed additional revenue.
Can I ask those who are going to record as much material as they can on their phones, so us lot who are not there can enjoy?
Club Shop Manager - Out!!

For this game specifically I can't see them doing it, but can see why it would be in demand. However footage would likely be included in a season review dvd, I mean if 08/09 got one then surely this season well!

Can they get some beach towels in too ? Sheff Utd champions 2017 would be a real big seller.
Oi, d'ya mind.

It's only 4 weeks since I bought a new beach towel, you trying put it out of fashion before it's even been packed?

If you are I'll have to take a retro towel to Crete again this year!

Have they got some in the shop ?

Dvd?
I want the season review UHD HDR Blu Ray with full Dolby Atmos surround sound (including every interview with Mr Wilder & the final game + celebrations in full).
A quality season deserves a quality product.

They did have 4 weeks ago when I was stranded in the Copthorne when the Coventry game had been shifted.

Bigger and better quality than the older ones too, although not as striking a design in my opinion.

I'm all for equality of the sexes an all that, but after a season like we have had, it astounds me that full grown men are discussing the quality, size and design of beach towels on here.

I think a short run in the cinema wouldn't be out of the question. Possibly at the IMAX?

Says the man who needs a beach towel more often than almost any other poster on here ;)

They should also stock some dvd copies of the United tv series for those of us who taped it onto VHS and no longer own a video recorder
They were on YouTube a while ago, not sure if they still are. There were DVDs around of it and there was a bloke who'd do you a copy for a few quid but I'm buggered if I can remember how to contact him.

I think it was probably WalthamstowBlade , in which case he's on a plane headed for a new life abroad about now.

It's a good point the OP makes which has much wider implications .

When so many of the club's departments are really starting to click into gear , the Ticket Office , Marketing etc etc , our commercial department do appear to be a little bit slow out of the traps .

Now don't get me wrong here , I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement in all departments , there clearly is , but the commercial team do appear to miss a trick more often than not . Let's hope the proposed superstore on the corner of cherry street and Shoreham street is a sign of things to come .

A quick edit . Special mention must go to the ticket office this year . When you look at the sheer volume of business that's gone through there this season they've handled it incredibly well . The last 2 months bear testament to this too . Season tickets , sold out away matches , higher than average home gates and stick the Kell Brook fight on the top of all that for good measure ...... well done guys and girls in there , you've done an excellent job .

I'm not sure that it was, I know he makes his own and puts them on YouTube (and very good they are too).

Didn't realise he was leaving.

His timing is abysmal, but having known him for a long time I wish him the best of luck and thank him for his timing, which obviously ensured that we would be getting a trophy at the seasons end ;)

Aye, Darren left the board for SUFC, I'm leaving the country.
