Not seen it mentioned much on here tonight, probably due to the frustration with the teams performance overall, but I have to say that I thought it was a sublime piece of skill and finishing.
The first touch around their player to make space and be straight in on goal, only to be crowded and pressed out by 2 defenders before displaying that subtle combination of close control, trickery and maybe just a dash of luck [that all really good players seem to get from time to time] was a joy to watch. A smart finish to round things off too.
We really haven't had such a skilful player for a very long time. I just hope he stays with us [and keeps going] for another couple of seasons because for me, he is the player that makes it all happen. Unless we sign Luke Freeman, I can't see us replacing the guy. Ridiculously good close control and very clever with it.
He was one of just a few who deserved something out of today's game.
