Stays in the side now

Agree....he looks a player.

There was a bit of play in the 2nd half when our player was receiving a pass with a Luton player close by.
Instead of controlling it, our player controlled and turned with the ball all in one movement taking their player out of the game.

Nice piece of skill and that player looked like McBurnie....I thought surely that can't be McBurnie producing some proper skill.
Then noticed the player had number 22 on his back, checked it and then realised it was Doyle not McBurnie.

With fleck having a fractured leg, there doesn't seem to be defensive midfielder in the squad, and it would be a complete waste to put berge in that role, so it looks like hes going to get a lot of games, and from what I've seen he'll be fine

I mean, he kind of has to "start" by default.
We're out of options.

Encouraging though, thought he looked really comfortable. Nice probing passes.

Put a couple of decent deliveries into the box which were nice to see after McActee’s attempts in the first half.

There is no reason for Berge to play in a midfield 2 with Doyle fit

Good passer, calm on the ball, always on the front foot

He looked a bit uncomfortable on the left, but has to start now really. Much better with him on and fitted in well.

Speaking of broken legs, what player of ours leg did his grandad break when playing for Citeh in the 70s? Recall reading it on here when he signed.

Think it might have been Aiden McGeady's dad's!

Yes John McGeady but thought it was his knee cap that he had broken by Michael Doyle at Maine Road when City were a proper Manchester football team

Really?

Was he like Bobby Booker?

Was he a dirty fuck....er

Is he six foot tall....

And does fuck all?

Ooh aah got pelters at first. Then one freezing cold night at Mansfield, a legend was born…..

I'd much prefer Doyle play and push Berge forward. I do wish we signed another player to compete with Doyle and Norwood though, I think it will be a problem this season with fleck not the player he was.

He would be a very good signing young athletic, tenacious, pace, can pass, take a man on good free kicks and corners.
