They definitely need to play every game, just hope Hecky realises and doesn’t fuck about with the rotation bollox.

If we don't go up then I can see both Doyle and Ndiaye going to ForrestDoyle going to Forest.
Jokes aside can see another MGW scenario and a team like Burnley paying stupid money for him.
I know why, it's only stupid when it does'nt benefit us. I may be a little biased though. Maybe they can sell them to us for the weekend on a "trial" basis and we give them back on Monday, good as new?You can see why though.
City lend two class players or more to one other club. They help to take points from their rivals but the same team is then sizeably weakened when they play City.
One player seems a bit tight. But at least they mitigate the impact.
That said, nothing to stop City selling a player or two to United but with a buy-back clause. Only difference is they could play in cup games and against City but from a retaining ownership perspective there isn't much different lending someone to having a favorable option to buy them back.

We must go up this season or we are in the brown stuff.
If we do go up then these are the players we must keep imo:
Ndiaye
Berge
Bogel
Anel
Baldock
Mcburnie
RND
Jebbison
Sign Doyle & Mcatee
Possibly keep as fringe players:
Norwood
Egan
Robinson
Osborn
Fodders
I am not bothered about any others from the current squad.
Egan definitely needs to stay imoIf we don't go up then I can see both Doyle and Ndiaye going to Forrest

As backup for me. Think we can do better if we go up. Maybe move Anel into Egan's position and look for another RCBEgan definitely needs to stay imo![]()
Tommy Doyle is 22 in October and James McAtee is 21 in October. I can see McAtee going out for another season. However Doyle is coming very quickly to a crossroads where him, his agent and club need to decide on the future of his career. His contract with City runs out in 2025, they will not want him to be going for a free. So he has 23/24 to impress - Could that be a loan move potentially or do they look to try and put him in the side and then loan in January if needed before the decision of contract extension or selling in 2025. If we were savvy we could look to try and bring him on loan next season with a buying clause if we wanted in the summer of 2024, that could potentially take some risk out of having an unproven 21/22 year old in the Premiership. With him naturally being right footed and midfield you would naturally think at City his competition is Kevin De Bruyne who at 31 isn't probably moving anywhere soon. The only way we'll get them next season is if we go up and they get another loan year a la Henderson. I doubt they will sell those two quite yet.
That would be awesome. If we were savvy we could look to try and bring him on loan next season with a buying clause if we wanted in the summer of 2024
i agree with you here anel was absolutely brilliant at centre back against tottenham never put a foot wrong unlike egan who is prone to the odd rush of blood not picking his man upAs backup for me. Think we can do better if we go up. Maybe move Anel into Egan's position and look for another RCB

City fan here.
Ilkay Gundogan and Bernado Silva are the two midfielders most likely to leave City in the Summer so Pep would need to feel that Tommy could replace them in the City squad. They are both players who can control a game (amongst other things) and keep the ball moving and I think Doyle has the potential to do a similar role but not sure whether he could reach their levels. KdB is more of a high risk, high reward type player and I think Foden may be a more natural replacement for him than Doyle in the longer term. Pep just needs to trust Foden to play more centrally.
It would also be useful if Tommy could play as a defensive midfielder to rest Rodri as the player we bought to do that - Kalvin Philips has shown very little so far (although players often take a season to adapt to playing under Pep).
I, and many other City fans, would like to see Tommy given a chance in our squad next season but another loan period with you lot would be a good option if you get promoted.
Good luck for the rest of the season. I have watched a few of your games to see how our lads are doing and have enjoyed them. I really do not want Boro to come up as I have disliked then since they were a retirement home for Man United players in the 90's (Robson, Blackmore etc.) and still have nightmares about the time they beat us without having a shot on target - Sun Jihai own goal!
If we go up we can only get one of them on loan due to Premier League rules.
Think city have got ballers like McAtee coming out their ears. Foden, Grealish etc. Whereas Doyle seems more akin to De Bruyne in style and the position he occupies on the pitch. I think Doyle will be brought back into the fold at city before McAtee. I think our best chance would be McAtee for another season.Tommy Doyle is 22 in October and James McAtee is 21 in October. Personally think Doyle would be attainable for the right price. Mcatee is a definite no go though. They rate him highly. We could possibly get him on loan again though which I'd be more than happy with.If we don't go up then I can see both Doyle and Ndiaye going to Forrest

i also think we might have a chance of signing doyle if we get promoted plus every chance of mcatee on loan again if these 2 lads help us take points off any of the top 8 that would benefit cityPersonally think Doyle would be attainable for the right price. Plus 2 England U21 games makes 119 games left - hopefully - he shouldn’t burn out
