One thing we didn't hear to day is that awful 'Up the Table we Will Go...' which seems to follow the likes of Burnley, Huddersfield and Bradford.

I was disappointed with Dyche today. Him and his players were continually appealing to the ref for this and that.

He comes across as old school but today he's just like all the other Premier managers who are looking for an excuse at any chance.

Surprised how bad they were considering how good they've been over the past few years and have rolled over some decent teams, yet they barely tested us. Felt like a game against a Championship team and not one of the good ones.

They reminded me of us under Blackwell, just hoofing the ball forward, didn't work but carried on hoofing it and hitting it down the channels anyway playing ugly, percentage football.

I could see why they were getting wound up since every free kick seemed to go our way. On the other hand, as I said before, they were piss weak next to our lads and getting shrugged off every challenge. I've always said you do your own job first and only then can you moan about the ref costing you anything. You can't spend the game getting out muscled, out run, out passed, and out scored, and then whine that there might have been a few niggles that the ref didn't catch. They could have got every close decision in that game and still been lucky we only scored three.

We were awesome, but they really were poor. They didn't look arsed for a single moment of that game.

Don't fall into the same trap as every opponent we face...we dominated them, their ineffective display was down to us. Even when they were getting thumped by Chelsea last week they kept going and scored twice.
First half we were just far too good.

I couldn't believe how weak they were at times. When they showed the highlights on the screen at half-time I was counting up how many of our players were unmarked whenever we got forward. I don't remember the exact number, but it was all of them.

Same for second half when McGoldrick nicked the ball leading up to the Sharp chance. They can moan about whether it was a foul or not but it was piss weak from their lad to get outmuscled there. From all I've heard about Burnley, they allowed us so much space in behind them.

Take nothing away from how good we were in that first half (remember we did the same to Arsenal) but if I were a Burnley fan I'd be livid at how they got bullied out the game early on and then utterly run over.

But the manager sent them out to try to limit the damage as much as they could.

Their first corner in the first five minutes they were time wasting, they were scared shittless of us and on 17 minutes (if fact as the first goal went in) I was texting a Burnley mate who didn't fancy the trip that he had better be scared of the final result.

Even at 0-1 down they were still shithousing and time wasting to limit the damage.

That's all down to Dyce being scared of us. Good manager - no.

That said he should be scared having read his scouts reports on the Liverpool and Arsenal games.

However Tufty goes for it.
We're living in a different world to all the other Prem fans except perhaps Liverpool and Manchester City.

We totally outplayed Burnley in the first half and dominated them all game. Zero shots on target for them says it all. Some might say Burnley were poor I'd say we made them look poor their game plan seemed to be hoof it over our back three and chase it. As a game it was over by half time we just kept it solid and hit them on the break, they had more of the ball second half but did fuck all with it. We really could have had 5 or 6 today UTB, oh and nothing beats a Sheffield double FTP.

I mostly agree, but it kind of makes it worse. If a team comes to the Lane to outplay us and it backfires then fair play, but when I hear so much about how tough Burnley are to break down, how good a defensive unit they are, and then see them not just get beaten at the pretty passing but get bullied out the game from off to go with it...well that's a terrible performance. A close game and a narrow defeat is one thing. Burnley were dead by half-time.

The first goal from us was sublime. The third goal (taking nothing away from the finish and the tenacity of our press) was the kind of thing that gives managers heart attacks. Professional players must know that if you get to half time at 2-0 then you'll get a rollocking but there's a way back into the game, so just smash it up the pitch and play out the last few minutes. Instead he dawdles on the ball and the game's killed off there and then.

Also, did you ever stop to think why these teams just don't seem to 'turn up' against us.? You sound like a Wendy fan, "oh Burnley (or Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham etc.) had an off day " it maybe because we don't allow them to have a "good day" ever thought of that?
