Dominic Calvert-Lewin

DCL is a quality player who got little support on here while he was with the club. Most posters on here were very negative towards him in fact.

The lad is only just turned 20 years old. Why oh why can't folk give young lads time and space. Jags was very ordinary for his first 50 games and Warnock played him in midfield because that's what we needed and he was always an athlete, but value position for position he was not for a long while.

There lies the dilemma, playing time for future dividends or play some other unworthy sole instead.

Premier League clus don't usually invest in their youth. Koeman is doing but it can become a smokescreen for wider problems with the squad attitude. I simply cannot see how Koeman made his mind up so soon last season that Lewin was good enough yet for the Prem. He wasn't and isn't and the lad is now in amongst a tense and difficult scenario where the manager is under extreme pressure.

If Koeman is sacked where will that leave DCL?

I hope he does not lose his confidence or get written off due to management changes.

Steve Walsh must be under real pressure there already -interesting. Jamie Hoyland too?

Sod it. I'll oblige...

Thanks for the mammaries, Calvin.

Probably a bit early to judge the kid , would have been nice to see him develop at the lane but as we know sometimes we a more than a bit quick to cash the cheque ! but maybe his fee funded some of our current buys , time will tell

Quick to cash the cheque and slow to play the lads in the first team perhaps. Not good enough for us and yet plays in Prem and Europa League and for England as well. Doesn't tally frankly but I'm not saying Koeman is right, not at all.

Each to their own, but if I were DCL I wouldn't be best pleased about my missus putting half naked pictures of herself on the internet for all to see and men to oggle over.

Leave the lad alone. Please don't forget that his transfer fee part funded the rebuild of the United side that we enjoy at the moment.

Going on to Everton's demise, selling Lukaku and not playing Jagielka is more to do with it. I think that I see an "Atkins attitude" from some of the players that do not want to play to their full potential.
The defence without Jaggers is a shambles without his experience and captaincy, even if he is not quite so fast as he was. Jake Wright may be a bit slower than he was but look at the difference he makes to our team

They've lost 3-0 and 4-0 when he played this season. Everton are a shambles at the moment, even with him.

Everton are awful, Koeman is a nob and can't take a defeat.
DCL is a shining light for them atm, as is agreed by pundits and the nob himself.

I'll pass that on to my two Everton mates tonight.

Told them and Survived tonight Bladepicker :)
Although the tide has definitely turned against Koeman .
They've now lost more games at home than the whole of last season.

I can't see the development of DCL surviving an instant fix new manager, as he is far from the finished article.

I have to say compared to the blades after watching several EPL games the standard of entertainment is pretty shite.

DCL will never succeed in that team as long as Rooney is there. He'll just be a bit part player when Rooney plays, then be expected to step up and perform miracles when Rooney gets dropped for being a twat. That apart, why do some of our fans feel the need to gloat because things are not going too well for him. Fucking pathetic jealousy, that's all.

I don't have any particular feeling either way towards Everton on a game by game basis but I have always hoped that they will taste relegation once during my time on this mortal coil. Just so I can have a wry smile to myself that 1994 has at last caught up with them.

Looked a bit green in the games he played for us, so surprised he played in their first team so soon.

So we're saying that you aren't allowed to pass judgement on this forum of players we sold (unless it's positive) because we are jealous or something.
DCL Premier league? No fucking chance, One day? Maybe. Would he have been better staying here? Yes for his development, no for his bank account.

Am I missing something here or is it you Eight Lade?

As far as I can see last season DCL had 11 Premier League appearances.

This season so far DCL has 7 Premiere League appearances and 5 Europa League.

But somehow you have decided this is 'No fucking chance' Premier League?

Mmmmmmm.......o_O

There's a difference between being good enough and appearing for a team.
I give you:
Paul Thirwell
Tony Moore
Dean Hammond
No fucking chance the lot. I could dig up a whole lot more if I need to.

And who decides this 8Blade?

Is it your good self as an armchair forum pundit with over 900 appearances on this board alone?

Or maybe in this case Ronald Koeman.

Lets face it Koeman has a miserly 500 appearances for Ajax PSV Barcelona and Feyenord and managed the likes of Ajax Benfica PSV Valencia? What the hell Does he know!

My money is on you 8Blade! Answer that phone it will be Jose asking who he should sign next.....:)

If he carries on picking DCL and they don't get a win soon, then there is more chance of 8lade being Everton manager at Christmas than cuddly Ronald.

Dafuq??

Are we in a paralell universe were DCL cant get a kick for us in L1 but in the other he is sold and goes onto score Englands world cup winning goal in Russia? It couldnt happen... Could it???

He still wouldn’t get in our team.

Oh and no, it couldn’t happen. ‘England’ will be home long before the World Cup winning goal is scored.
