I know he's an ex blade an all that but how is he getting a regular game as a premier league striker? If he was still with us I'd say he'd be 5th choice at least

possibly everton trying to play him, hope he plays a few good games - sell him for like £15M to Man City

Don't get what he offers at all... he's not very fast, not great in the air, not really got a shot on him, doesn't seem to work particularly hard off the ball, rarely gets into positions where he looks like he's going to score and seems to scuff any chances he gets

Sod it. I'll oblige...

I remember Harry Kane playing like that for Spurs/Leicester before getting a bit bigger and stronger...hard to know how he'll end up. Too much pressure on a youngish player now.

Agree. Koeman is a bit desperate and he's rushing the lad.

Having said that young players need first team playing time otherwise they should be out on loan.

Burnley at home may be one of the games you'd start the lad but I'd more expect last 25 minutes.

If you don't play and invest in young lads they never get a chance. Until they have played 30 games or so it is exactly that, an investment without instant return unless the lad's called Brooks!! Even then Wilder will rest him regularly, like yesterday.

Not this pile of shit thread again.

If he is so shit them the small fee we received for him is about right. I actually think many people on here want the lad to fail just to say " I told you so"

I do agree though that his girlfriend would be far better in the box than young DCL.....

I think that it might come across from our fans that we want him to fail so that the fee we got seems decent business, as opposed to him doing well and it been a bargain for them. Personally I find it disappointing that he was sold with the potential he has but at the same time it was a deal that suited all parties. I think its 50/50 whether he makes it at Everton, but they seem to rate him.

17 Premier League appearances but 5th choice for us (at least)?
I imagine Premier league clubs will be queuing up to to buy our top 4 choices in January.

Personally I think it is great that a young lad who has come through our academy is doing well.

Oh and may I refer you to your user name. Having said that maybe I ought to have referred myself to your user name before biting........o_O

Leave the lad alone. Please don't forget that his transfer fee part funded the rebuild of the United side that we enjoy at the moment.

Going on to Everton's demise, selling Lukaku and not playing Jagielka is more to do with it. I think that I see an "Atkins attitude" from some of the players that do not want to play to their full potential.
The defence without Jaggers is a shambles without his experience and captaincy, even if he is not quite so fast as he was. Jake Wright may be a bit slower than he was but look at the difference he makes to our team

Hes not a PL player we got a very good fee for a player that wouldnt have featured in our first team squad Everton are very poor I think Koeman will be gone within the next few weeks

Interesting views. I think he is quick, good in the air and works tremendously hard. He seems to get enough goalscoring opportunities but hasn't got any composure in front of goal, but I imagine that will be developed.

Probably a bit early to judge the kid , would have been nice to see him develop at the lane but as we know sometimes we a more than a bit quick to cash the cheque ! but maybe his fee funded some of our current buys , time will tell
