Does Wilder Relish Throwing Games.

In our situation, are we in a position to be able to treat league games against bottom 2 teams like an unimportant league cup game…..

Obviously Wilder thinks so, why oh why so many changes,

Even with sickness there was enough on that bench to win that game, diabolical from Wilder.

Go to win the next game, not with half a the one after, especially, when the next game is the easier of the 2….

Ridiculous.
our changing room an hour and half before kick off

It’s called a forum, not sure if you’re aware but forums are used for discussions and opinions, it be pretty boring if everyone thought the same,

There is opinion, then there is considered opinion.

Considered opinion is based on factual knowledge and research, opinion is just the first thing that comes into your head.

There is an old adage in life that sometimes it is better to say nothing, otherwise constantly criticising 'your' club for the sake of having something to say can come across as poor form.

You are crazy

Wilder joke ball has come back. Last night we were sooooo obvious in what we were doing. Oh look I can pass it along the back line, oh look I can pass it back to Cooper. Boring. How can you win matches if you don't look like you want to attack?

Wilder publicly said that every one of the changes was a 'physical decision'. He wasn't making these changes for a laugh.

It's one game man with a flu ridden and depleted squad and no doubt others out there who were/are unwell. It's almost like this run of wins and banging in goals never happened. What is wrong with people nowadays?

It was disjointed, but given the circumstances I kind of expected it.

Statistically though, we should have had 3 goals. Had 17 shots and 4 big chances.

So actually a really strong output, as much as we lacked fluidity.

Great post. Three days on from a 4-0 drubbing of a decent Stoke side with some of the best football seen at the Lane for years and this is your take? You do realise we had eight changes in personell? Im optimistic for this season when everyone's fit and available. Stop with the needless negativity.

Norwich and Stoke are the stereotypical ‘teams in false positions’. Although they were pretty woeful when attacking I thought overall they’re a decent team (when they weren’t rolling round on the ground).

I think you can nitpick some of the selection choices and I wasn’t happy with how far up our midfielders were pressing when we were already outnumbered in the middle of the park, but I’m happy to give Wilder a pass on this one. Point is a good return all things considered.

Let’s not dress this up anymore than it needs to be. That performance last night was dire, Norwich should have took all three points. I’m sick to death of hearing this three games in a week crap, do Sheffield United play themselves every match or do all the other teams in the championship have the same schedule. I’ve no doubt illness and injuries played a part in team selection, but that was also Wilders tinkering bollocks gone wrong.... Again. Please don’t try and appease yourself and make wilder blameless by saying Norwich are better than their position suggests, because they are not.... Norwich are awful and will be relegated. If we had played the same team as Saturday, we would have scored 5 past them. It was a bad day at the office, wilder got it wrong, we got away with a point against a team marginally better that the pigs..... on to wba.

Some of the comments on here are rediculous.A true blade wouldnt be critical of a performance where the team was thrown together under such circumstances.
Pigs infiltrating again!.
We move on.!

I wouldn’t necessarily put that one on Wilder. That starting eleven should have enough to beat a poor Norwich team at home. A promotion calibre team would grind out that win after taking the lead.

Still plenty of work to do in order to turn this season around. It’s brought us back down to earth after the recent wins, so hopefully we’ll see a reaction on Friday night.
I don't think Norwich were a poor team in last night's showing, they played some decent football, they won't be in the bottom reaches of the league for very long, very impressed by the way there manager set them up and the work he's doing, very similar to CWs problem, getting them playing and getting their confidence up,
I think Clemente is one to watch as a manager

Unbeleavable !

I initially thought the same…..they looked decent tonight BUT they were similar to how we looked decent under Seles.
Thought Norwich were too slow regards attacking, they over passed, a lot of sideways stuff as though their main task was keeping possession.
Although they looked good they never looked threatening.

We didn’t look as good as them but it was good to see that we were more direct and looked more threatening.

For all our joke ball ( disjointed play patient at the back which was expected with a midfielder who hasn't played for a year and another who was is ill) we created enough chances to win by a couple of goals, though they had chances including the injury time last kick one on one, made by our desire to push them back looking for a winner. The clue is in the midfield it was none existent in protecting the back for and limited in supplying the attack but we still created good chances

Norwich won't go down.

We had 8 players missing due to illness and injury.

Players in the 20 man squad not fully fit and probably carrying injuries.

We can't win every single football game we turn up too.

Any slight negative result or performance and the Wilder out brigade can't wait.

I suppose we should be wining every single football game we play 3/4/5 - 0.

Bloody Wilder giving out illnesses to players the wanker.
Should have covered his mouth while coughing the inconsiderate tosser.
Has to be an undercover pig, he is from Stocksbridge after all!

Looked at the line up, thought "I'd take a point" and we did.

I caution against getting too far ahead of ourselves after four wins on the bounce. A couple of defeats and we're back in the mire. Point on Friday would be welcome too, then we can get bodies in place and look upwards again.
