Does Wilder Relish Throwing Games.

Wilder has in past have traits of when a team does well he changes it next game - appreciated the illnesses but what about individuals such as wtf brooks played his best game so trashed him off for example
Campbell and bamford available? Not convinced

There’s a level of complacency too

Really? Lots of illness and another game in three days?

Oh shut up whingebag.

8 changes. Our best players over the past 5 or so games have been Tanganga, Seriki, McCallum, Mee, Riedewald, Peck, Brooks, O'Hare. Only 3 of them started, 2 of which looked like they were also ill, and Brooks deserved a rest. Seriki is probably well overdue a rest too considering his injury problems in the past.

If we'd played like that over the last 5 games I'd be very worried, but in a way it's good to know how good our good players are and how good we can be when we are full strength.

I was hoping our substitutes would change the game and overwhelm Norwich but Tanganga, soumare and matos were way off the pace so we struggled to get the ball up quick enough.

Norwich won’t be bottom 3

I initially thought the same…..they looked decent tonight BUT they were similar to how we looked decent under Seles.
Thought Norwich were too slow regards attacking, they over passed, a lot of sideways stuff as though their main task was keeping possession.
Although they looked good they never looked threatening.

We didn’t look as good as them but it was good to see that we were more direct and looked more threatening.

Okay, you're entitled to your opinion but you've left yourself open to ridicule with that fucking statement.

Seriously mate, if you think they were decent, besides being in the same position as we were when we were fucking wank like they are, then ridicule away. Tell me who was above average for them, tell me about all the gilt edged chances they created and the worldie that they put past us. They were fucking cack and couldn't beat our reserves, they're second bottom because that's how fucking shite they are.

Stop it with the facts......

There’s no way these clowns haven’t seen these reports but they still continue with their stupidity.
First choice Central midfield missing Arblaster needing easing back to fitness and at least two players clearly not 100%. Unfortunate OG means Soumare is now dogshit again and after another decent game so is Bindon.

As for managerial arrogance………

In our situation, are we in a position to be able to treat league games against bottom 2 teams like an unimportant league cup game…..

Obviously Wilder thinks so, why oh why so many changes,

Even with sickness there was enough on that bench to win that game, diabolical from Wilder.

Go to win the next game, not with half a the one after, especially, when the next game is the easier of the 2….

Ridiculous.
Wilder out

Thought Bindon was decent again. Looked OK against Stoke and carried that on again tonight. The back four suits our players so much more than a five, let's hope we stick with it.

You're assuming that those on the bench were all fully fit too. If injury and illness has meant some haven't made the squad, theres a decent chance that either some playing or on the bench weren't 100% either. And yet we got a point we might easily have dropped a few weeks back.

Hopefully we get a few more back for Friday, not an easy game by any stretch, so we'll need to be on our game as well.

The irony is that with the bench that had enough to win the game, we didn't win the game with the players from the bench...

McLean first half and Mattsson second half ran the game. But for a good, low down save from Cooper and a headed clearance off the line we could have conceded 2 first half. Or don't they count. Do opponents goals only stand if they're worldies then? Srappy OGs don't stand then? Thanks for your input.

Football players aren’t fifa players. Playing 3 games in such a short amount of time isn’t easy.

The unforced changes were:

Cannon & Ings for Campbell & Bamford. We know that Campbell and Bamford don’t have 3 games in a week in them at the moment

Hamer for O’Hare (Hamer’s literally just come back from a medium term injury)

Chong for Brooks - Brooks has played every game for weeks

All the rest were injuries. Chong & Ings played pretty well & O’hare worked hard

What punished us was Peck & Reidwald being missing as it made us disjointed. Wilder wants to win every game including friendlies and cup games he’s one of the most competitive managers we’ve got, but even the most critical fans could see he had his hands tied last night

We have four consecutive wins (two against opponents of somewhat dubious quality) and suddenly, again, every game has to be won?

It could have been, even with a depleted side (against another depleted side). It could also have been lost had Norwich's main striker not got injured in the first half, but the biggest concern to me is that grown men on here can't control their emotions. Are those people new to football or something?

How quickly being resigned to relegation turns to entitlement.

I agree … the aim has to be to stay up this season.. then replace wilder at the end of the season and move forward as a club .. if we can replace the owners by then too it will be bonus

You're absolutely right, but it's worth reiterating something. Norwich are a better side than their position suggests.

The game was competitive and first half Norwich had chances as did we. It was a pretty physical game, Norwich were under pressure from Chong and Seriki down the right, which was nice to see and Chong basically took over where Brooks left off. Medic's booking was certainly down that side and so was Springett's, with Mattsson (i think) also lucky to escape a yellow as well given the way the ref handed out bookings in the first half. We created and were perhaps just shading it first half with 8 changes and against an organised side.

I only saw up to around 75th min due to the time zone, so can't comment on the last third of the game, but i'd guess that the changes second half, five in total, were entirely necessary. The central midfield being completely new to what we've had the last four games, Blaster back from a year out. Lets face it, the central midfield under Selles was a problem, last night it was probably our weakest area, but the lads on the pitch did alright. I'm glad we got an hour out of Blaster, Chong and Soumares.

Perhaps the changes killed the game for us, but the flip side is that without those changes, we may well have lost the game.

It's a cliche that there are no easy games in the Championship, but part of the reason why it's so hard is that there are sometimes weeks when you play Sat-Tues-Fri. Thats before you get injuries and illnesses between games.

That's a very decent point in my view.

Lets not have another summer of turmoil.

Their bodies are grown but their minds are still in year 4. Have you ever fancied casting your eye over shoutbox during a match? We could be 8 goals up, concede 1 and all you'll see is "season over" "poor from Wilder" "here we go, knew we'd bottle it"

It's laughable really. We've got a small army of lunatics across the way who's existence is in question and they're eyeing up a day at the Emirates in a season or two. We've won 3 on the bounce, scoring 3 goals each game (I think) went out last night with most of the squad out due to illness, still managed a point and we have pillocks worried

Baffling.

The good run had to end ,personally i expected minimum of 10 points from previous 4 games any way
See what the weekend performance is befpre we start the wilder is king malarcy

Not as stupid as you it appears given you seem unable to read. It clearly stated before the match we had illness and injury issues so doesn’t take a genius to work out why he made 8 changes.
Still four first team players who played the last game dropped to the bench that should have started.

It’s called a forum, not sure if you’re aware but forums are used for discussions and opinions, it be pretty boring if everyone thought the same,

Ye because it's so interesting discussing why Wilder is deliberately throwing games when we draw a game isnt it.

8 year olds would roll their eyes and cringe at this.

It was a slightly disappointing result but with the injuries and illnesses, we at least managed to get something out of it and keep the ledger moving.

Could also have been a pragmatic approach (Wilder, never!) where we're better off giving a point away to Norwich if it means getting a full side out against West Brom to have a better chance of getting all three against a team we're in amongst.
