Does anyone even care anymore?

This thread really makes depressing reading.

It needs printing out and sending to Scarborough holdings - because McCabe certainly isnt at BDTBL!

I've lost that much interest I don't even have the radio on when we're away. I check the score on my phone a couple of times, one of those at full time.
This from someone who lived and breathed United, I don't feel anything when we win and I don't feel anything when we lose.

You care Pete , like we all do . If you didn't you wouldn't go . If the board , players and dare I say Adkins care half as much as us , we would be in the top 2.

Come to the conclusion let's start with a clean sheet on ALL fronts , including management . If Adkins had any self respect he would resign or forfeit any compensation . It's bad and will get badder .

UTB

Can see where you are coming from Lord Bos and I think NA is failing badly, however, we know this season is a write off and I just want to see how things develop this summer. At the moment it seems to me that it doesn't matter who we bring in as Manager, if they are going to be hamstrung by this uninspiring, washed up board of directors, the results are going to be the same.

It's like the last days of a relationship, when all the spark has gone and only resentment remains. The difference is you can walk out of a normal relationship. You can never really leave this one. So all I can do is go through the motions, hoping something gets reignited.

THIS EXACTLY.
I care. I did'nt go last night but I still managed to ruin my evening by checking the phone for the score every few minutes, refreshing every 20 seconds near the end in the vain attempt that we'd scrape a draw against fucking Bury. I still care. I'll care on Saturday when I watch another gutless, tactically inept shambles of a performance.
I just wish the bastards that have ruined my club cared.

Still care, just can't be arsed actually basing my life around them. That went years ago.

Almost turned my back on it completely this season when we sacked a manager for 2 semis and a play-off in a season and a half, absolutely no logic in that at all and so I came to the conclusion we are run by cunts (and stupid cunts who listen to their similar standard peers on Twatter, at that). Home games only now and only those when I haven't got a race meeting I can get to.
My wife loves McCabe and Silly Jim as my moods aren't determined by 11 fellas knocking some plastic around anymore.

Bet WHF will be there clapping. Good Luck and well done to him. A true Blade. There's nothing wrong in his pink fluffy cosy world. Sorry WHF but you and Adkins deserve each other. I expect Adkins has got most of the fans on ignore as well.
You see this is what happens. The anger starts Blades having a go at each other. We all want the same thing, just some express it in different ways and some are overly positive and others the opposite. I'm in the first group, but even I have had enough. Don't let us turn on each other though, we need to be united.

'United together'. Typing those words made me cringe.

My son, if he's lucky is meeting Tony Currie today - am just hoping he wore a United shirt rather than the Real Oviedo one - as supporting the Blades doesn't quite satisfy his love of football at the moment

I think we all 'care' or we would not be on here discussing it... but I have to say I grew morosely apathetic post 2009, which is roughly when I stopped going more for financial reasons than anything. I used to miss it badly but now I sit at home, or in the pub of a Tuesday and watch the shoutbox/sportinglife commentary updates and can barely muster any excitement or disappointment when the scoreline changes. saddens me to think but I really don't care that much...

I still go to every game but it's stopped hurting when we lose now.

Everytime Hammond falls over the ball of Basham/Edgar/Collins/Brayford/Coutts/JCR/Woolford/Sammon etc kick a 5 yard pass either out of play or to the opposition I used to get pissed off, now I just sit in my seat and laugh at how bad we've become.

At bury last night I was annoyed for around 60 minutes at how terrible we were, then it just got to the humorous stage. By the time we were back to the car all my anger had subsided completely.

Maybe me following them up and down the country come rain, shine and Johnstone's Paint fucking Trophy makes me part of the problem and maybe people like me mean the board won't change while ever the crowds hold up, but at the end of the day Sheffield United have always been my team and they always will be long after the board/manager/players have gone, so why should I let them drive me away from the club I love and hobby I enjoy?

For all this wallowing, when we finally wake up from this footballing coma, we'll all be bouncing again. And it will happen... If only by the monkeys/typewriters principle, eventually we'll get something going.

Unless I'm working I'm at every Saturday home game and have only missed 1 this season which is Peterborough home and working this Saturday so can't go this time either I'm not happy at the performances but doesn't mean Il stop goin to matches sheff united is a big part of my life and Il keep goin for the rest of my life nothing that could happen will change that I'm proud to be a blade and will continue to support this team

you sound like me m8,up to this season I had missed 4 home games in 10 seasons, didn't bother with the Wigan game and can't be bothered on Saturday,I've got a feeling it's gonna get nasty tbh
This now seems worse than weir or Adams,it can't be that bad can it?
The nightmare scenario is to get rid of clough dross on the summer, then sign Hammond, woolford and sammon permanently
Sorry to be so negative guys

Having a nice time in Cabo Roig Jade??

I'm sad I have to attend the remaining home games. Those 90 minutes ruin my day.
It's OK for you, I have to drive two hours each way, do you know what it's like driving home in the dark and rain after watching these "players".

Why don't the board care anymore?

I care, but I'm tired of United ruining my weekends. It's easier to take if you don't go to games, don't listen and try to ignore it.

How I feel now, I'm 50/50 if this might be my approach for next season. Renewing my season ticket again, to get let down constantly seems like a stupid thing to do!

Imagine if we went up this season via the play offs. It would be the crappest and strangest promotion season ever.

I have had a quick scan through this thread (well actually I read the lot!), there appears to be about 50 'posters' who have given up on the Blades and won't be going. A few who will be going but have lost some enthusiasm. So if this forum is an accurate reflection of the feelings of all Blades then I might expect about 5 thousand 'clappers' to turn up Saturday. The reality I would like to bet is that maybe 18,000 will be there (or thereabouts).

I don't know what that tells yer'. Maybe folk love to jump on the doom and despondency bandwagon. Of course I'm not happy with our current position and guess what neither will the board, the management or the players.

So yes I care about the Blades, I shall be there, I will enjoy meeting my mates, having a few beers then walking down to the lane hoping for a win. I shall say hello to WHF for you as well (don't know him, just a generic hello as I walk into the ground....). I expect a lot of you will be busy on here trying to outdo each other in despair.;)

UTB (Clap, clap) :)
