does any one really doubt McGoldricks worth now

My recollection is that they were mostly (if not all) complimentary about his abilities and attitude - if only he could stay free of injury. I remember being encouraged by their comments at the time.
I recall they were moaning about him living in Nottingham and not wanting to be down in Suffolk which to be fair it is a long old journey to Ipswich when you have a family in Nottingham.

I was sat at the back of the south stand for a change and I was shocked at the amount of anti-McGoldrick fans there were around me (loud mouthed idiots in all honesty). This was after he missed the target on the volley when he was few yards out about 10 or so mins in. Glad he shut them up not long after with his goal.

Is he really that divisive a figure? People were slating him as if we'd paid £8M for him to be our star goal scorer. Crazy stuff/

Not in SS where we sit.

There's one or two moaning minnies, but it could be anyone - even Sharp gets it sometimes !

Surely not from our fonts of knowledge. You have to remember, they were there so they know everything.

I and many others said we needed more end product from him, particularly as he plays every game. And now he's delivered, which is great.

I don't see such comments were in any way unfair or inaccurate.

It is perhaps amusing that some people are so precious about mild or even constructive criticism when our manager, based on his comments last week, seems fine with the team being booed for poor performances.

I think as usual though there were a percentage who were giving it "He's shit" rather than giving any sense and reason to it. No one has issue with the fact he was being criticised for missing a few gilt edged chances because it was true, but some of the stick he took was ridiculous. Not unlike Leon when he plays.

It was not unfair or inaccurate to record criticism of Sharp when he was playing poorly last season, was it?

For me no - it's very interesting that in the very recent media articles (about hitting 220 goals) he actually said he is now fitter and better than at any time in his career. For me, he's taken note of some of the criticism and the fact CW left him out of numerous games as testament to that and come back in fabulous nick this season.

Oh, I agree entirely. I was just testing whether the contributor meant what he said in justifying criticism of McGoldrick and, if so, whether there might be any element of hypocrisy.

Ignore them. People that cant see his qualities or what he adds to the team dont know their football. Probs the lads who play sundays and shout "put yer foot through it" and "gamble" :D

When necessary it’s fine. It’s when Kozluk thinks it’s the way to cross or pass down the line that it loses its charm...

Ok for a defender to do when in his own box and being pressed otherwise keep it for Keith the clogger at Longley Park on sundays.
