This threads better placed with a poll on porktalk but I’ll ask my fellow bladesmen as im not joining that forum for obvious reasons.
Do you reckon they hate Wilder more than any other player/manager we’ve had? It’s got to be for me. I think their hatred goes

1.Wilder
2.Sharp
3.Warnock

When I talk to them in pubs/work/general life they always have a sly dig at wilder and he certainly doesn’t endear himself to them with videos that have circulated like tonight !
The comments on the videos from them lot on social media is outrage, like the blokes not allowed to have a sing song just because he’s a manager? I’m glad he’s having a good time, it makes me love him more seeing them videos.

I think Wilder is better at winding them up than Warnock. Warnock was always upfront whereas Wilder slips things in leaving doubt about whether he is serious or not.

Example, it has always wound them up that he pointed out how their team was full of expensive players under Carlos, he managed to slip that in again during a pre match interview for this game years later.

Nah.

Wilder is nowhere near what Warnock was when he was manager.

Although that has now softened last ten years.

And as for billy sharp, don’t think so. Has he even scored against us?

Somebody like Bradshaw was far more hated.

I can remember a time when their fans were full of praise for Wilder and many admitted that they'd love to have him at the sty, as we played expansive, exciting attacking football, and he talked the truth and sense in post match interviews. After we first got promoted to the Premier League the bitterness towards him set in. Then again Wilder became bitter in the second season and he's never been the same again since. The giddiness and boyhood joy of United winning has gone from him.

Wilder for me. Gets under their skin. Warnock was the one they loved to hate. Wilder they just hate because they know full well he hates them. Wilder would never manage them but Warnock would’ve done. Wilder is truly one of us, warnock isn’t.

My view is that if any manager of theirs reacts in that way we’d be the same. Look at how we view Megson for example.

Them getting all pious about it is hilarious. They’d be exactly the same if the boot was on the other foot.

Maybe also a touch of bitterness at us having a manager who also has an emotional investment in the club. I’d say, like Warnock, he’s a master shithouser too, that’s always going to get a reaction, especially from their more feeble minded supporters

Oh and this video settles this argument!!!

Absolutely superb and will boil all pig fans piss. Wilder in the boozer afterwards singing “swinging a pig!!” 😂😂😂👏👏👏⚔️⚔️⚔️

Those comments on the View From about his reaction at full-time being exaggerated or put on made me laugh. It's like they don't know the bloke at all.

Warnock was always jesting with Wednesday fans. With Wilder he's genuinely dislikes them as any fan would. Warnock's said things at the time because he loves to have banter with opposing fans but as we all know he would have managed them and I think would relish the chance to turn it around for them and him with them.

Wilder like any true blades fan would never contemplate managing Wednesday.

I'd say Wednesday fans genuinely can't stand Wilder more than Warnock. Warnock's the type who says, and has said just recently "wouldn't it be great to have a Sheffield derby in the top flight". We all know what Wilder said on that. His comments would again make him less popular with Wednesday fans because they'd see the genuine nature of it. He's not saying it just to wind up people like Warnock did because he loves the banter but then wants to manage them years later.

Plus it is a specific set of circumstances. I'm not gonna sit and do the research but there can't be too many clubs out there with managers who are boyhood fans of that club. He's reacting to the result in that video as a fan, he's done his managerial rubbish "they're a good side, we had to be careful, they've got great players yada yada yada"

They'd absolutely jizz themselves silly if their manager had even an ounce of personality and love for the club so they can get fucked with that one. Just look how they respond when Bannan says or does anything relating to loving the club.

Can you imagine, if they had won, what Rohl would’ve done at full time? They got a win the other week and he was too busy celebrating to shake hands with the manager, and that was a run of the mill game. He barely shook hands today. But Wilder wasn’t OTT - he celebrated briefly, what’s wrong with that?
Personally not a fan of the stuff in the pub though, but I know loads love it.

They haven't had a Warnock, Wilder, Sharp in their ranks for decades.Hence their position. Simple really.
End of

They're jealous of a lot we have, recently there's nothing that's made them more envious than Wilder.

They've become a complete small time set of bitter cunts.
Exactly, if they directed some of that energy towards holding their chairman to account they might start to change things, instead they look for statistics that ‘prove’ they are better than us. So for all they have against us it that their name scores higher at scrabble.

every single part of SUFC gets under their skin completely, from Wilder, Gary Sinclair, the fact that almost every player that has come from them to us ends up being a Blade, (Bromby, Geary, Bradders, Madine etc) and they hate it, that's why they bang on about past glories and attendances all the time, it is all they have to live for.

I'm not a Wilder fan and never will be but he gets my full support as long as he's in charge of the football club. If I am 100% honest I thought his pissed up antics in the pub were a bit cringy and I'm not sure how the prospective new owners would view his behavior but I will forgive him as it has wound up the pork even more!

In my lifetime of 35 years they've gone from nearly winning the first division title, winning a cup, finals of both cups, getting impressive crowds at that current time, double ours, to now us being a better club for most of the century , better crowds for most of the century, celebrating draws at bramall lane like youve been promoted and then yesterday clapping there pathetic shower of shite team off after losing a derby. They really have become a proper small time club, it's fucking brilliant.

Seems to be an emphasis these days for players and managers to be stoic, driven and focussed entirely on the job in hand. The squad and Wilder did exactly that for 95 minutes but emotions boiled over after the whistle and Wilder afforded himself a little celebration - it's a bloody derby what's wrong with that

The pub stuff, okay maybe people don't like it but it's a fan who's guided a team to a win over their rivals. It's ridiculous people are taking issue with someone actually showing some emotion and enjoying themselves. We're going in to the international break with 4 straight wins, one of which came back from 1 down and a last minute winner, the other a win over wednesday.

Not only does Wilder deserve to get pissed and have a bit of fun I hope the squad has too. Well deserved and personally I couldn't care less whether it was cringey or disrespectful. They'll live.

This is brilliant because you know its absolutely genuine.

I do think the high's of Wilder's management are that bit higher because of his connection to the club and I am hoping we are at the start of another one.

They don’t like Wilder n because he got tour club finally ticking and has been a massive success, they can only dream of having this as well as the connection between us and the fans.

They are enraged with envy, long may it continue.
