I dont think so no.

90% of those on the pitch wont be here next season.

Why should they give a damn weather we go up or not?

its blatentley obvious that they dont.
A good team has morale and fighting spirit.
We have none of the above, apart from the odd spurt now and then.
At the present,we are no better off in footballing credentials than the likes of `yeovil, walsall,mk franchise, leyton orient`
Be afraid blades,i fear that this maybe the start of the oblivion to nowhere-`burton albion, mansfield, oxford, luton`
Can it be?

Gone in a few weeks:

Kitson, Higgenbotham, Forte, Robson, Porter (1 year deal I believe).

Still here:

Flynn, McMahon, Collins, Doyle, Hill, Murphy (and all the kids)

Prob gone:

Long, Maguire, McDonald (think someone will come for him = hes not all that but wasted with us)

The latter 3 (and maybe Hill) are only ones who seem to have given damn. The rest we are left with are very ordirary at best and would form the spine of a mid table at best side.

Wont be sad to see all of the top ones gone. Like the Dads Army of the 80's they mostly have taken a lot of money for not very much back (Kitson has shown flashes).

Shame we cant dump most of the middle ones as they have proved for last 2-3 years when going gets tough they dont want to know and whilst others like Bournemouth and Bentford have kicked on, they have pooped their pants and bottled it once again.

For me I would not care if the entire side was jettisoed (I know its not possible) and we had a new manager and an entirely new team. Continuity is overrated if it keeps leading to failure. Charlton bought cheap players from lower leagues/conference and did it. They did not have any real experience when they walked the league. We need athletic, fast and hungry players regardless of age.

Sick and tired of watching losers such as Collins and Doyle. They will be on a nice expensive holiday at the end of the season and probably laughing their heads off as they know they have another 2 years left on their contracts here. 2 more years after 3 years of bottling it when it mattered. Unbelievable.

Can't blame the players for being here nor the contracts they are on.

It's the dimfuck of a manager who signed them.

And the chairman who backed him.

of course most of em dont care. thats what happens when you sign a load of old hasbeens and loan signings til the end of the year. though theres also the fact that theyre all slow and crap. almost the entire squad know they arent good enough for the championship, so why bother?

ive never known a team to be in this position before. who else has a team going for promotion, where you know most of the players are leaving whether you go up or not?

the teams a shambles, the clubs a shambles.

Dont think their that bothered. I thik we have one of the quitest blades teams I've ever seen at the minute. They look like they barley know each other to me. Never hardly see them talking, other than to moan about some shit pass. Virtually no banter on interviews or with the fans (McMahon occasionally)

We will get the default collapse into a heap when we lose in the semis or final, but I predict its just for show and not because they give a twat.

The number of people at BDTBL who I think are good at their jobs can be counted on one hand with a few spare fingers.

Prob gone:

Long

Continuity is overrated if it keeps leading to failure.

Two things.

1, It's blindingly obvious that Long is likely be worth three times his current value if he stays another year. Now there's a teaser for the board to think about (for about five minutes).

2, We've not had continuity since errr... bloody ages ago. That's the problem because we cannot afford to buy a decent squad each summer. It's what the board haven't addressed since 2009.

interesting comments on here, absolutely piss poor result today and no doubt performance aswell, but to say the players dont care is a bit knee jerk. these were the same players on tues and the previous sat who played pretty well and def seemed to care then. sometimes you start off poorly and cant seem to improve, it happens to the best teams. the proof will be in how they respond. and if morgan even smells that they dont care then he will give them the right proper hairdryer treatment.

UTB
gavlar

Sadly Gavlar, it is one and a bit games in 6 they have shown they care. The rest they have been dreadful. Carlisle, MK Dons, Walsall, Pompey, Stevenage. Sadly the Swindon result seems to be the freak one compared with the rest.

Agree with Grumpy Blade. McCabe goes on about bad luck and this and that but at the end of the day he is one that keeps appointing abject managers and gives them carte blanche to sign utter dross mostly and then keep giving them longer contracts (still stunned at Doyle/Collins/Porter extensions). Amuses me when McCabe keeps saying he is putting so much money each week to keep the club gooing. Its his terrible mismanagement of the club that means we are where we are and he has to put more money in.

What a mess.

£3000?

blindingly obvious to anybody with an ounce of football or financial sense.

expect him to go for the first offer over £100,000.

There might not be a big rush to off load Long they still have Maguire, Miller and Diego that they can cash in.
It will be a long long time before Miller and Diego are fit enough to be sold, as for Maguire I couldn't give a toss if he goes this summer............. way too slow even in this league.

We will probably sell them all & get in some over 30 scufflers. Mixed with a couple of shit loans.
Oh and we will -re-sign a player that wasnt good enough for us before or is now past it. You know the 100% Blade n all that. (ala Marcus Bent, Forte etc)

That "dimfuck" is the man who had ched playing the best football of his career, signed macdonald who last year was a cut above and signed miller who was shaping up to be a quality goalscorer

Only players I'm interested in keeping are Long, Hill, Maguire, Flynn, Murphy, McDonald plus the kids. Rest can fuck off.

Oh and Miller if he makes a recovery.

And couldn't get us out of the worst 23 clubs I've seen us have to play against for years.

keep clapping

Who had the best win ratio of a Blades manager in recent time, who was a penalty kick away last year and who still might of got us there if he was allowed to finish the job this time.

We were shit yesterday and shit on Tuesday as well.

I don't hear many people that wanted to keep Wilson when he went but unless Morgan shows his nous in the next few games the decision to get rid of Wilson ( to outsiders at least) will look as good as Wolves's to get rid of McCarthy.

We weren't good under Wilson near the end but let's all hail the knee jerk attitude of the club......

Master stroke if we go up- shite if we stay down

DEPENDS WHAT YOU EXPECT, ANYTHING LESS THAN 65/70% IS FAIL IN MY EYES IN THE 3RD DIVISION

We should have walked out of this league like we did in the 4th - but hang on we did have to face the mighty Bury, Shrewsbury, Yeovil, Donny, Brentford, Crawley, Walsall and another 16 fantastic teams, no wonder we struggled.

Give it a few weeks next season and we will be the lowest placed team in South Yorkshire, how can we be expected to compete with the likes of Barnsley, Rotherham or Doncaster when they have gates of between 5k & 10k every other week.

MKeep moaning

Set yer sights higher

Fergie's no mug and when he sees one of the best players in England is loosing 5% performance he considers moving them on. Footballs a tough business where the successful take no prisoners

Some of us settle for old has-beens [I include Speed in that, there are posts on here from me saying that he was too slow] instead of getting the younger type player that other teams seem to find.

Whilst the board is under no pressure we'll have a team the clappers get us.

Fact is had Blackman stilk been here we would be up and wilson would be manager. Who do you blame for that one?

Given the owner is chucking £1M/month in and who we play against our dog should have got us out of this league.
Given that I'm really relieved Wilson is not with us for next year.

If that's negative in some peoples eyes so be it. I think it is having dreams/aspirations to want more.

Not always the case though is it, fergie himself did it last season by getting scholes back and this season he's stuck with rio and giggs is still a big part of their success. Experience is vital, 11 youngsters would not be the way forward, a cliche I know but the right blend is vital. I know it doesn't always work out but 9 times out of 10 a winning team has that blend

for what it's worth my personal opinion is that your expenditure should reflect your final position or you have failed.. apparently we have the highest wage bill in the division??
