Disgusting cheating Blades at it again

What are the new laws?
The FA defines the offence for which players will be punished as "successful deception of a match official".

Only incidents that result in a player winning a penalty or lead to an opponent being sent off - through either a straight red card or two yellow cards - will be punished. The ban will be doubled if the player ever signed for Sheffield United during his career.

This is dangerous ground, as Sitwell says what are referees for, we even have an extra official nowadays. Didn't look like a dive to me. What next, changing the results ?. Must be gutting for their Manager (Ainsworth........ HA !:D)

Definitely a dive. 20 seconds in.

Goes flying without getting touched. Took me a few watches to make sure, though.

The super sly bit was not appealing for anything. If he risks the dive and claims the pen but the ref sees it as a dive, it's a booking. If he doesn't claim it looks like cheating was never his aim.

Actually, the ban will only be applied if the player even as much as talked to a Sheffield United club shop worker.

from the Liverpool Echo that opening prem league weekend

Gerrard insists he was clipped, losing his momentum as he was about to pull the trigger.

Warnock later told television crews Fowler said it wasn't a penalty, prompting the Liverpool striker to send out a search party for his identical twin, or the impostor claiming to be him.

"It was a blatant penalty," the Reds striker confirmed as he boarded the team coach, leaving no-one in any doubt Warnock had either been mistaken, or worse still, lied.

the Oserver report differs quite a bit
Steven Gerrard, once again performing his one-man rescue act, played a one-two with Robbie Fowler and accelerated into the area, losing his balance in vaulting Chris Morgan's rash tackle and falling to the floor as Paddy Kenny collected what turned out to be a tame shot.

That's what most people in the stadium saw in any case. Referee Rob Styles saw it differently and after waiting until Kenny had made the save blew his whistle and pointed to the spot. 'He's given advantage and then he's given a penalty,' Neil Warnock complained. 'I don't think it was a foul anyway.'

Actually, the ban will only be applied if the player even as much as talked to a Sheffield United club shop worker.

If he ever played for or even talked to a supporter of West Ham, the ban shall be quadrupled and passed to the nearest available person to meet the category above (Player ever played for or if the player even as much as talked to a Sheffield United club shop worker).

That Wycombe change kit doesn't do much for Akinfenwa. Even going back through the years I have a never seen a player with his physique able to hold down a place in a professional team. Quite unique.

I seem to remember John O'Hare in his later days carrying a bit of timber.

Not a player I'd have liked at the Lane, but one of my favourite of recent times. He's hilarious, bursting with character and knows where the back of the net is too. Watching some people trying to mark him at set pieces is bound to bring a smile to anyone's face.
