I was planning on ringing the ticket office later but a bit busy so thought i'd see if anyone on here knew anything.

My elderly grandad stopped going to matches a while ago partly to do with the poor football and also he's a bit unsteady on his legs. I've finally convinced him, the football is miles better and he's looking at going to a match. Now, although he's not registered disabled the only way he'd feel confident going would be in a wheelchair. Does anyone know if you need to be registered to get tickets on the front bit of John Street? I'd be more than happy to pay for full tickets, i'm not expecting to get a carers ticket.

Any help would be appreciated.

There is no such thing as registered disabled. Just tell the club he is a chair user and ask for an appropriate ticket.

sorry JJ but yes there is registered disabled tho im not sure you have to be to sit in disabled section at the lane, i think only if you are trying to get consessional ticket thru disability does it become an issue.
hope that helps paddy.

Munxy. There is no register of disabled people. There used to be a Green Card once upon a time but they have not been issued for years (early 1990s?). Concessions are usually given on production of a disabled persons' bus pass, proof of benefits or similar thing for which the holder had to supply doctor's proof of disability to get. Turning up in a wheelchair/with a walking aid or whatever is good enough for most places.

The important thing is that Mr Cough Snr has nothing to worry about. I hope he goes and I hope he enjoys some quality football and a home win.

My mate broke his back and got a ticket in the disabled section for the Derby at the lane no problem, no proof needed

I couldn't see it being a problem, as I say i was happy to buy an adult ticket for me and a senior citizen ticket for my Grandad, I just hope we can get a win now so i'm proved right! If not, i'll get a rollocking!

BTW Paddy, ask for a carer's ticket. No idea whether SUFC do them, but you should be able to sit with your grandad.
