Dirty Wallace

No we weren't. We dominated possession so looked like we were better, but they man marked Duffy out of the game, overloaded our left so Stevens and O'Connell couldn't create any kind of overlap, and they kicked Fleck up in the air all game.

The output of this was, we flattered to deceive and they got the point they came for and in balance they deserved...

We weren't better. When Plan A wasn't working we didn't have a Plan B.... That's what worries me.
plan b is getting plan a right first.. that should be sufficient

They were the better side last night, gave a good 'away' performance and should have scored a couple.

Take the red and white specs off and you will realise we were turgid last night and rarely looked like scoring.

One league win in ten. I think we need to concentre on our own issues rather than the pigs

Given their circumstances it wasn't a bad performance by them. The sort of performance that in the past we would have praised if it had been the other way round.

However, I think it's stretching things to say that they were the better side. I don't think they were.

We dominated possession and had more corners. Territorially I think we were also on top, but we failed to convert the possession and territory into any significant number of clear chances.

We had the same number of shots as them, but they had one more shot on target than us.

Both goalkeepers pulled off a fine save.

I would say (without red, white and black specs on) that a draw was probably a fair result. I would not deny that they showed some character and a determination not to be beaten. They frustrated us and did it reasonably comfortably even after going a man down for 25 minutes or so. However they were certainly no better than us. The two sides pretty much cancelled each other out. We looked stronger than them, but still couldn't work a decisive opening.

But I do agree with you that we have our own issues to attend to, rather than worrying about (or laughing at) them. Our form over the last 10 games hasn't been much different to theirs and needs to improve pretty sharpish. Hopefully the new signings will help.

Let's get 50 points on the board ASAP and then see where we can get to.

How many of us think if the ref hadn't already sent one of their dirty bastards off that he would have given Wallace a red? He bottled it having already sent one off he was scared to do it a 2nd time.
I don't know what game those saying they were better where watching they never came to play football, all game they got every man behind the ball and hoped to nick one on the break, constant spoiling tactics and fouls to stop the flow of the game, time wasting (not as bad as Norwich) when they could, constantly refusing to move ten yards to stop us taking free kicks, constantly playing the man rather than the ball by jumping into our players or wrestling them before the ball was anywhere near and the weak referee let them get away with it all night but I suppose he feels he did ok booking a few and giving out a red card. He might have got his quota for cards but the ref was poor very poor and the pigs knew it as they were constantly in his ear. If that is what you want to watch or think is good football sign up at S6 no skill to be seen playing that way poorer teams do it all the time, a fair result in the end because we were not smart enough to break them down, I don't let seeing the pigs having a go to nick it in the last few minutes influence my thoughts on who came to play football and who came to spoil, better side my arse.
