I can guarantee that McNulty and Higdon won't be playing on Saturday.Confirmed by Diego on twitter.
Expecting Mcnulty and Higdon to not start on saturday, obviously wont be match fit. 6 in midfield then..

So your solution is to play someone who isn't good enough for the 1st team yet ?We now have Adams (not ready yet) and Porter (useless) as the ony fit Strikers at the Club and a Promotion six pointer two days away.
So lets send the other forward who has ctually scored league goals this season out on loan again.
Logic?
10 years ago this month United signed Luke Beckett.
He played 5 league games for us that season. He started one, and came on as a sub 4 times. He did not impress.
Warnock let him go out on loan. He went to Huddersfield and scored 6 goals in 7 games. Then he went to Oldham and scored 6 goals in 9 games, saving them from relegation.
Meanwhile, we missed the playoffs narrowly, playing Chris Morgan up front for the last 10 minutes of our 1-0 defeat to Millwall, as there was no one else.
When we are drawing 0-0 or losing 0-1 late in the second half over the next few months, and we are using one forward or none at all, I will think of Luke Beckett and Diego, and will remind myself that some clubs never learn.

Other options upfront??
well?
no one again??
Seeing someone's name around the top of the division's goalcharts doesnt really mean that he is a good player

I really hope adams will get a chance then if we're sending out another striker on loan and haven't got any fit or good ones remaining.
the lesson learnt was to recruit better strikers.
I remember a few in BU (or was it in SUISA?) were shouting from the rooftops that we should sign Greenacre and I tried to explain to them that a good scout would watch him play in a few matches and assess him rather than the lazy way of studying the scoring charts. One of them in particular didnt like my reasoningA player that's top of a lower league scoring charts who has fans calling to sign him, regardless of whether it's likely that player can adapt.
I call it Chris Greenacre syndrome.

I accept that goals at a lower level aren't everything when judging a striker's form, but they are at least a factor. You can bet your bottom dollar that we wouldn't have signed Lyle Taylor or McNulty without impressive goal tallies in the Scottish second tier.
(Plus Beckett had scored goals at Championship level, but let's not open that debate again).
Diego's header leads to equaliser
Jump to 18 seconds for his last goal at York:
He can claim an assist for York's second goal as well.
What a great goal that was,it doesn't matter though because is name is way to fancy and that's the only reason people want to see him play, beggers beliefThis lad has real quality,he must not work hard enough
He sent them 2 lads for a biscuit there.
Yes,and i think Cloughy has been watching the same channel for a long time now and won't turn over..it's all about the channels![]()
It will suit him a lot better if Clough will be playing with two strikers more in the second half of the season. Him and O'Grady together would be interesting.
Diego does seem like a player that would work better alongside someone else. Although I can see him staying on loan at York for a while if possible.
