Joking aside I wish he was still available for us given the paucity of our options up top. Even when Jebb and Osula are available they are novices with great and probably unrealistic demands on them this season. Sharp appears to have nothing much left and McB isn't up to speed and back to his pre most recent injury level.
Didzy could have brought some sanity to our play in the final third. Or is that wishful thinking?

"He shouldn't be allowed to play in League One, he's too good" Danny Cowley

I don't think a player in recent memory has given me as much pleasure.

Ndiaye is getting there but his story is a shorter one right now. Brooks made you smile with his skills but we saw too little of him too. Gibbs-White was never ours to call our own.

Starting with the whole myth that he'd be a crock and wouldn't stay fit. Then banging in 15 goals in the promotion season.

Getting his name sang despite missing numerous chances including an open goal against Brighton. Then came covid and the regret was simply that when he broke his duck by scoring against Chelsea there were no fans there to see it and then he made it two! The finally him finishing top scorer in the relegation season. But it's not even his goals that stick in the memory. It's his silkiness with the ball at his feet. The way he would retain possession, seem to be surrounded by three or four and then second later, after some quick footwork, be clear of them all.

Such a beautiful player to watch. I'm really pleased he's doing it at Derby and no doubt he would be in the mix now. But there is a bigger picture. You can't add McGoldrick without subtracting others. Iliman for one. Would he have been given the game time that has seen him develop exponentially? We were starting to see green shoots from Jebbo; would it have just been easier to put Didzy into those games instead?

He deserves to be playing and starring. Even if he had truncated the minutes afforded to Iliman or the rehabilitated McBurnie, he'd also have been living off cameos himself. It would have been selfish to keep him. But what a joy it is to see him doing well. Derby are on a good run. They have the last game against the Pigs. Perhaps there is one twist in the (Piggy) tail for his Blades story yet?

Wish he was still here, he wouldn't be doing any worse than Sharp.

I'd heard he's a Nottingham lad but don't know if that's true.

As for the Didzy thing, I dunno but it seems to have stuck!

Agree. he's from Nottingham. That was the main reason he joined us because he needed to be near his family in the Nottingham area.
I heard from an excellent source within the club, that he approached us asking for a trial, it wasn't us that approached him.
It only took a few days for Wilder to be impressed and he was quickly offered a contract.

He's also admitted in a very early interview at Derby to being a fan of Notts County, as a kid.
Altho I suppose that to be expected as he started his football career playing for the Notts County Youth squad
and he made his pro debut in the Notts County senior team.

Think it's brilliant seeing him do so well at Derby, however I'm surprised he's scoring so many.
Brilliant build up play, intelligent link play but scoring goals seemed an issue here.
Really pleased for him, one the better players I've seen wear a Blades shirt over the last few decades.
