You forgot "in a shit league". We need to get out of here no matter what because this is soul destroying, we're talking about teams like Tranmere, Brentford even Crewe and without trying to sound big time, I think this club and it's supporters deserve a lot better.

Haven't seen a game of football that uneventful in a while - I can't actually re-call anything happening in the game.

That was quite awful. Can't recall Long having to do anything (though he bizarrely punched a routine claim from a corner when he was completely unchallenged) - at the other end, McMahon had a reasonable long-range effort turned passed the post, and Miller shot weakly in what was our best opportunity in the second. Those were the only on-target efforts all game. Both teams were very poor indeed.

After panic all-round in the first few minutes, I thought the defence was reasonable for the most part. Though I was disappointed Westlake didn't start, I thought McMahon had one of his better games - though the lack of overlapping was really frustrating. Their overall distribution was, however, appalling - Long included.

All four of today's midfield had shockers. Williams's lack of ability to make a simple pass was horrible to watch. Blackman's complete selfishness not to pass wasted at least three decent opportunities he had managed to create. Doyle should have taken more responsibility to try and get us to play to feet - I'm completely unconvinced by him as captain. And Flynn, who I'm normally positive about, was lost in the middle. Considering he's out only proper winger, it seemed a strange decision of DW's to move him there. McAllister isn't brilliant but at least he sort of knows what he's doing there.

Up front, Porter and Miller had absolutely nothing to work with. Kitson coming on briefly saw a better return from our 'passes' forward, but this quickly fizzled out.

A dreadful advert for this league. If ever you needed an example of how much poorer the division is this season, that match between teams 1 and 3 highlighted this perfectly.

should have won? is this a wind up? i agree with most of what loughboroblade posted a dreadful advert for this league and tranmere were nearly as bad as us! we started th game so sloppily it was frustrating, after 8-9 mins we still hadn't completed a pass, ,made a tackle, won an header and it just was lacklustre and passionless performance from start to finish gutted!! i feel sorry for the season ticket holders

Coming here only to moan when we lose won't win any friends or many medals. I agree that we were not at our best against Tranmere, but you ought to try posting something positive when we've had a good result. You never know, you might like it.
