I can't see how the substitution was anything other than tactical.

Rather than change at half time Adkins had waited a few minutes to see how they were set up. Once he knew then he could play it as planned.

JCR was getting in down the right and elsewhere on the pitch the idea was to play through them rather than go aerial (McNulty was a better option in that case). And This is exactly what happened for the second goal.

Both. You can't have players doing half a job, especially in a 4-4-2.

It would help if people avoided all this bollocks about "holding" and "sitting". I want our midfielders "playing", supporting the attack when have possession; helping the defence when we haven't.

I hope people know sammon was coming off before the miss. McNulty was already stripped and waiting for a break in play to come on. He should have scored but Adkins didn't punish him for the miss by hauling him off.

The great thing is that we have different options for different games/opposition, In midfield and attack.
