A point away at a decent team isn't that bad is it? Play shit and come away with a summat?
I really don't understand the meltdown!

Thought it was all about salvaging something when you're playing shit? We did that today. Just because it's "toytown" were playing some seem to think we're entitled to give them a footballing lesson.

It tends to happen on here and they don't let us down too often but tbf that was awful today. We looked as bad as the Pigs did against us a couple of weeks back.

We were second to almost every loose ball, could barely pick out our own players with our passing and frankly looked a bit disinterested. Duffy, Egan and of course Henderson aside it was pretty gash.

I get that coming away with something under these circumstances is sort of a positive but still, we need a reaction on Tuesday. I happen to think we will see one.

Players looked like they couldn't give a toss
And Rotherham aren't a decent side are they ?

Most basic one dimensional side I've seen since our last opponents

Much better than us today. When we have an off day we are pretty shit.

Decent team fuck me, feels like a loss, out fought by a kick and run team. We might have the better players but if they don't show the same fight and desire as the Rotherham players we are going to struggle. Self inflicted if you ask me a point was more than we deserved.

We lacked motivation, which considering we could have gone top and have just had 2 weeks rest is worrying

The fact that the exact same thing has happened at least a dozen times under wilder is even more worrying

I don’t know if it’s motivation though, it’s just that top players are good or slightly worse than good. Our players aren’t top players so they are anyhwhere between good and terrible on a given day. We can’t afford for 4 or 5 terrible performances at once and we’ve had that today. Can’t blame the forwards but apart from that Duffy, Hendo and Egan were good, JOC was ok, rest were varying degrees of turd.

The fact that people have been bigging them up as world beaters has led to unrealistic expectations.

Always expected tough encounter

Tight pitch a great leveller

Closed us down, making it difficult for us and so it showed. Midfield struggled to make any impact on the game. Stray passes all over, even when not under pressure. Created next to nowt for Sharp and their second goal looked like school boy defending from us

Just a word about Freeman. He looks fked and that's not from the 80th minute. That's from the 1st minute.

Too many players not firing today. So disappointing and the trend is lets say, a little worrying

Abysmal from start to finish.

The Blades in the New York Tavern currently all agree we approached this game like big time Charlie's.

A chance to go top of the league in a local derby where you know the opposition is going to be up for it and play a certain style, yet not only do we look unprepared, the application was well below what was required.

Poor show all round today from staff and players.

Couldn't agree with you more about the toytown bit. Hope they do the same against the pigs in a couple of weeks time. That is if there's owt left after FLDC have finished with them.

Dreadful performance.

One of those, I would have been embarrassed if we'd won, but I'm furious we drew, given the manner of the equaliser.

It's not about entitlement though, it's the way they played. Barely any outfield player can come out of that with his head held high and Wilder himself had a bit of a 'mare. McGoldrick, Fleck, Norwood and Freeman were all shockingly poor.

And Bash and O’Connell.

For too many key men off their game today. I’d have everyone in Sunday apart from Egan and Hendo.

I think we lost 2-2 because we threw away a winning position

But then we won 2-2 because we were dogshit

And then we drew 2-2 because we got 1 point for it.

So basically, fuck knows.

I'm sorry but even though we were abject on the ball it was the lack of intensity and effort that cost us today
Which as I said after a two week break and with the chance to go top says to me that the manager is not getting them motivated

It would have been nice to have been shit and got all three points for a change.

That doesn't happen.
We have a problem getting something we deserve let alone something we don't

Mind you, you could say we got a point we didn't deserve today.

But knowing how crap United are when they're crap I'm not sure Rotherham should be happy about their point
Anybody else would have beaten us, because when we're bad we're horrid

I thought our goals were going to be the difference at this level, eg taking our very limited chances while they bombard our goal.

There’s only so many many times they can shoot though before they score.

I feel bad for Hendo as he couldn’t do anything for their first (deflection) and their second was a sequence of outfield errors leading up to an open shot from relatively close.

Hendo was outstanding today.

2-1 up in injury time against a team passing it us in our own box should not be a draw regardless of the previous 92 minutes. Our defence is shocking and £4.5m Egan has done nothing to address this. Is Jake Wright still with us? Or Stan the man.

If the last game was a 0-0 win this was definitely a 2-2 loss.
Depends on how you look at it as on the balance of play we won the last one and lost this one, but from another perspective, not beating the absolute crap we played last time was a 0-0 loss, and stealing a point out of such an abysmal performance today was a 2-2 win.

I hope it’s not motivation but there were a lot of shit performances. If we play like that the next 2 games we’ll have no more points.
