Last week Jim Phipps said the standard of opposition in League One was diabolical. On Saturday, Nigel Adkins said there are no easy games at this level. Who is right?

When you're as bad or worse than the opposition then they're both right

What the fuck does Phipps know about football
It's a round ball Jim not oval.
Very true, I find it ok to listen to him on the business end of things, but football wise he really is no authority on the subject, nor what it's like to be a blade. There are times when he needs to maintain his credibility and say nothing

They are both right and bothi making the same point as Phipps quote clearly wasn't meaning that the league was poor. The opposite in fact.

I'm as annoyed as anyone at our clueless owners but no need to invent reasons to be pissed off with him.

He's lost his credibility some time ago Swiss

The only reason Phipps said anything at all was to try and address the grievances that we, the fans, were airing at him.
The comment he made about the standard of this division was an attempt to empathise with how angry WE are about being in a shit division for a fifth season.

We wanted honesty and a line of communication from the board for years. He tries that and we crucify him for it....

When I open the Christmas pressies from my Mrs this year I will tell her they are diabolical.

If she has the face on for the rest of Christmas I want you to explain yourself.

That's because the yanks think that cheering and fist/chest bumping solves everything just like at the end of all their films (sorry, movies)

Spot on.

I think he was expressing how, like we think, it's a piss poor league and we should be doing a lot better.

I didn't want communication. I want promotion.

To be fair to Phipps, he may have meant diabolical in the sense of devilish rather than rubbish. There is room for misinterpretation.

Know how to stop people misinterpreting what you say on social media? Stop using social media and do something useful.

You'd think they'd have learned their lesson after the game changing investment debacle. Amateurs.

To be fair wasn't that Mcabes line ?

To be fair the investment has been game changing; Yeovil, Bury, Fleetwood, Crewe.

They'd have all been wins before the investment.

1) The league is crap
2) so are we
3) The Prince knows nothing about football and resides in another country
4) McCabe wants out and resides in another country
5) Jim 'The Mouth' Phipps knows nothing about football
6) We have bloated squad of several rotten apples

I've summed it up in less than a 1000 words Jim Bob.

3-5 are very worrying if we want to sort this mighty club of ours out.

Actually I think point number 6 is the really worrying one

The only thing diabolical in this league is the lack of passion, concern and effort at SUFC, from board down to pitch. Teams that don't have the very best and gifted players are making up for that with grit, heart and fight. It's November, and our little princesses seem to be already on the beach, while the manager gets away with spouting soundbites and cliche to us mushrooms after each and every toothless performance. I will be genuinely amazed if Adkins gets us into the playoffs - I think he's garbage and has a jelly spine to players and owners alike. We need a fighter and a teacup-chucker to get us out of this division with our current crop of wage-stealers. Can't see him going though, so it'll be May 2017, at the very earliest, we get out of Division 3. Diabolical.

It's been done on here before but I'm pretty sure Jim meant the former referring to how competitive, aggressive etc this league is.

Several rotten apples, more like a Fukin orchard.

'Tis not the spoiled fruit that should be blamed, 'tis the roots of the tree...
