And he thinks Connor Goldson was going to be cover for Coutts or Fleck.
Class.

I would love to believe him cos I love having a reliable ITK, but he is so often wrong I can't.
Also, he always pretends he knew all along when the news of a target breaks.

what you talking about, theres bids flying around at 5 million plus all over the place in the championship, A million is nothing. Just a lot of money for me and you

I've read all his football Tweets recently and he said fuck all about a CB coming in. It's like he can't face not knowing so pretends he did when something develops. Doesn't do his credibility any good because there's no doubt there's plenty that he does hear.

Can we all agree not to quote the so called accountant, he/she talks absolute shite.

Can't see us being in for Cole, I'd be happy if we were though, offers something different and tore us apart last season.

Last year of his contract, so fee would be reasonable. He seems to have a similar background to many of Wilder's other signings, in that he has been a top club without getting an opportunity and been willing to drop down to play regularly. Worth a gamble at 22 years old imo.
But is he their player of the year & captain.

What we've been cryin out for. Raw pace, not the best footballer but will be a useful impact for the last 30 mins of a game and something different to what we already have.

Doesn't strike me as the type that would link up well with Sharp, so is more likely to be used as a sub if so, makes sense to me as long as we don't over pay for him.

I'm from Bradford and all my mates are entirely unconvinced by him from his time there but I think he's got attributes that will be useful, even if he's not in the first 11. Age on his side too.

7.5/10 signing for me.

I'm not saying he gets no whispers, he must because if not if would be a completely weird thing to do.

But the amount he pretends to know after it breaks, then makes the rest up (like AS IF we would pay over a mil for Cole) to make himself sound relevant ruins it all for me.

He'll have only said we were after the Man united lad once he looked like going to Wolves.

How long has it been since he played for Bradford?

I think some bright spark on here said last night that the fee would be about £1m and would offer us the most value for money.

He ran with it...

We want raw pace and power, he scored against us at the lane. Looked a real handful with a swagger.

I have to admit I have slated most on here for saying we need someone with pace who's worth a risk and I think Cole is that person. Yeah he may cost £1millon but for us I think it's an improvement.

Sounds a bit like Ryan Leonard - but not nearly long enough to fill the thread with sufficient bouncing boobs :(

Could be a smart signing. Has been a bit inconsistent so far in his career and not really settled anywhere, however he had a decent season at Fleetwood last year (caused us problems, too) and played in 90% of their games. I see this season he's scored 4 in 4 already - could he have turned the corner? Keep on at that scoring rate and he'll be worth a lot more by January. Pacey too, which is what we were looking for.

Interesting parallels...

When was the last time a United side signed a 22 year old raw striker called Cole from a lower league team?

1993 - Division One leaders Newcastle United broke their club record club by paying £1.75 million to sign Cole. He then scored 12 goals in as many league games as the Magpies cruised to the Division One title and won promotion to the Premier League.

Coinkidink? I think not.

4 in 4 this season though, on par with sharp, only younger, faster n blacker!

Andy Cole is his Dad.

Hmmm, not convinced at all but, he must have impressed the scouts, Tufty etc enough to see something.

This will be a right signing, So much pace and hes finding goal scoring form at the minute. Him and Sharp will be lethal

Quote from one of my cod mates 'He's dreadful but unaccountably, has managed 4 in 3 this season. We'd probably snatch your hand off at 500K'.

I've only seen him play once (I think) at the lane last year but I seem to recall he tied Ebanks Landell and O'Conell in knots on a number of occasions.

Not that anyone - least of all Tufty - cares, but it'd be a big thumbs up from me.

My mates a Bradford fan and he said that he didn't really set anything alight but then Fleetwood came in with an offer and they nearly took their hand off. I hope this isn't in place of Sinclair because of the two I'd prefer to see him rather than cole. Id be happy with both signing though, with Cole still Being the rawer of the two he would be more of a project.

Also the pigs are apparently interested as well now.....
