Oh dear.
Is it really a possibility?

I just can't see it going well for either party. He is no where near the player he was when he wasn't with us and I fear that a third term will prove once again that he will fail to attain the levels he so desperately wants.

I really hope we don't sign Billy as he has no pace and getting slower all the time. If Billy is the type of player Adkins is betting this new season on then all I can see is a two year rebuilding programme and a sixth season on Division 3 - how fucking embarrassing will that be? 5 is already unforgivable but 6?
Strewth.

I gave up worrying about embarrassment after 4 seasons in Div 3 culminating in being 3-0 away at Swindon after 15 minutes.

But that's in French and you've changed the spelling to (the very funny) English "party".

So pun aside on the use of 'Sheff', surely the English would be 'chef of the the party' (or even 'Party chef').

I do digress here from the original thread, but I'm sure everyone will find this linguistic discussion absolutely rivetting.....

I'm not sure about riveting (please note the one 't'), but it does have mild humorous value.

I too find the written word fascinating. and occasionally I fall into the trap of misspelling words that I really ought to know by now.

As for the Sheff's forum name, it may be revealed as a bit of a pig's ear, but by now most of us recognise him by his choice of name, so probably best to stick with it. It's his, it's unique, and I doubt he'll be able to change it, so let the Sheff be the Sheff, it seems only fair.

Dont know why but i couldnt help but read that in my head in the voice of c-3po

What's he doing on here then and not PorkTalk?

Surely they've got plenty to chat about with Carlos Kickaball and the three amigos?

Stop it ;), the Sheff's a Blade, so desist with these attempts at humour. I mean, it will devalue the forum's reputation for intellectual discourse.

As for the S6 fantasists, leave 'em to their dreams, we've got plenty of work ahead of us before we can see a route back to the Championship.

I'll take 'attempts at humour' as a compliment then as it's probably the nearest I'll get.

Yes that reputation travels far and wide.
It's been to Merseyside.
But there's only one place.......

I just wish they would sign someone to shut our supporters up for a few days. Anyone at all, even a 30 something journeyman. Just so that the inevitable moaning can start about how uninspiring the signing is. It would be a break from people moaning about a lack of activity

Not a former player though, that would be Bladey Bladeness and no matter how good the player is we can't be having that!

Yeah, it does work. Especially if you add 'Master Luke' after 'Oh dear'.

Haha, I've taken artistic license on the actual French phrase. You can't translate it from French to English then try and correct it back in French.

That would be having your cake and eating it. Or should that be 'tu as le gateau et mange le'.
